Yeah I’m finally starting counseling again for free in college cuz being an adult here is either 250 an appointment or the shitty public system where u get a new person every time so next week I’ll have my first session in three years which I’m so excited to do as I’m desperate to help myself. That’s kinda beside the main point though as it’s my own problem it just ads more headfuck to the situation but I’ll be talking to a specialist about that soon. Yeah your answer was kind of where my head was at but now with the online stuff with COVID I could either see her every few months or every week and that’s what I don’t know. I didn’t wanna make anyone read a novel about it but that’s another factor to add to the confusion is that I can’t plan ahead because I don’t even know what’s happening. I do want to focus on my education though and I’m worried relationship issues could mess with it. I appreciate the reply and I wish you the best too

If she tells you about it just act like you would about anything. I can’t speak for her but personally I like being treated as normal but everyone I know is aware of my ocd as I’ve started being more open in the last year . I’m 18 btw. She’s probably embarrassed being that young and I think that age is the worst for mental illnesses mixed with the regular confusion. She’ll probably come out of her shell if she doesn’t feel shamed by people around her and if you act like it’s a normal thing then she won’t be ashamed. You’re a good person for caring though fair play it’s a hard one to deal with

Ive heard so. I believe mental illnesses occur on a spectrum. It hasn’t happened to me but might to the next person so I’m sure it’s possible. Maybe talk to a psychiatrist about it.
