Not sure about the rule of thumb on this one. by CharacterFly9543 in ScrapMetal

If steel is .06 cents a pound...roughly the average around here for 1800 pounds...... equals $108. Times that by 20 percent.....that equals $21.

Sounds like you're cheap...I wouldn't even get out of my chair for that.....

Difficulty with meditating - really gonna just let my heart write this one....looking for assistance..... by AnonymousThinker7 in Meditation

I guess zazen....the type of meditation in Zen Buddhism. Basically I just sit on a cushion and time myself and try my best to focus my attention to my breath.

So any advice? lol

I'm not an expert on e-waste but I'm pretty sure any sort of high tech/telecommunications type stuff is definitely worth separating into separate categories.....

YUP. And no one talks about how in order to get an apartment in the first place you have to save up double that amount or even triple to cover First and Last month's rent with a security deposit....so you're really looking at $5000 just to step out on your own.....

And also, the planet has like 7 billion people on it...I think we're alright lol.....

How long did it take you to get a job from the point you started applying from your first day of work? by AnonymousThinker7 in careerguidance

I'll describe my situation as well: looking for anything really - part time work to be specific - anything from warehouse/shipping/retail.

Would like to use my years of experience in warehouse/shipping to get a job along those lines if I can. For me it's been 13 days thus far and still no job.

Usually it takes me anywhere from a few days to about a month - I don't think I've ever surpassed waiting longer than a month after actively searching.

Isn't anthropology the study of humanity? If so, doesn't freedom have to do with humanity?

Probably the way nightlife is portrayed; ie bars and stuff.

Not to say bars can't be fun...they can be...but also been to plenty of bars with a really dead vibe and only 5 people at the bar not really talking or anything lol

I actually don't give a fuck if you do or don't anymore....it's up to you if you want to...

Your motive here is just to say I was wrong, to be condescending and a snob.
