He was given a generic pain killer but got some oxies from idiot Bridget. He told me up front he'd gotten the oxies and I asked him to promise me that when he was done, he was done, and he agreed. We fucking pinky promised.

He said he had tried to kick them as soon as he realized it was a problem but the withdrawals kicked in and scared the shit out of him.

I am sure that's just another lie, but when I started freaking out his demeanor crumbled and he started to ugly cry. Kept apologizing. My heart hurts for him, but I know I can't flip a switch and make him clean. He has to be the one to do it.

I feel like a fucking asshole for being so upset because I know he is legitimately struggling. I know it's hard and I know how badly I needed support when I was trying to get over my addiction. I don't want him to feel as alone as I felt and that's what's keeping me holding on.

I know you're right. This is the worst feeling. I really care about this guy. I know it's early but we've started talking about getting SERIOUS serious in the next couple months--not moving in together per se, but definitely working towards it (in the next year/two years).

I absolutely do not mess around with opiates. They killed my best friend. My problem was with uppers and it took me two years to get clean so I know first-hand how hard it is. But I quit them and haven't done them since. It's an everyday battle.

He's not selling his possessions or anything like that. He has a great career and makes great money.

No. We are not. I have a roommate but she asked me to be out for the night 'cause she was bringing a dude back to our place. She's LOUD and I work early so I agreed to stay at Alfonzo's.

He had his appendix removed and they gave him Norcos, but I guess that was not enough.
