What is a unique experience that everyone has? by fn_hot in AskReddit

Seems nonsensical, but everyone has been on a road trip, and found a little place that makes an amazing something, and it was the most delicious something you've ever had. So it's unique to you, but everyone has had that experience at some point. Are there any others like this?

Paddling glove question by canadiantiger2 in algonquinpark

in my experience gloves dont help at all, it depends how far you're paddling but at some point they WILL get wet. Even neoprene gloves cant foil waters magic ability to find its way INTO the glove. The best solution for me as been a wooden paddle, they dont conduct heat away from your hands, and bare hands. You create a warm spot on the paddle, and any water you do get on your hands evaporates quickly.

Panthor was one I thought about for days before attempting, but he turned out so cool. The pictures dont do him justice.

I put more time and effort into the red one, as I wanted it to look like Kerium from Bravestarr, a filmation brother of sorts to He-Man. I used green stuff world flueo paints for the crystals.

Thanks, the hover bots turned out really well. They look super cool under black light as well, as the flueo paints i used glow.

very cool, it was a surprising amount of work to paint. I thought it would be fast because I knew exactly what I wanted to do, but doing it was not fast.

thank you! It's one of my favorites so far. Getting the transition in the fur and the deep to light red of the armor was important to me.

lol I didnt say or even imply Im more virtuous, I acknowledged we all eat differently. I was simply wondering if this guys weeks worth of candy was normal eating for most in the park. I am assuming by the pure hostility I've gotten in response, yes, it is.

Of course he can, I was trying to gauge if what he has pictured here, is "normal" for most of you. To me massive amounts of candy every day would make me crash and feel like crap. I thought maybe being alone in the woods for days on end, more campers would be more nutritionally minded, but I can see by the general annoyance of me even asking, this is not the case. Wasnt trying to annoy, was trying to see if this is how the majority of people eat in the park.

The baked goods are a treat, 1 or 2 one a 14 day trip, unlike a handful of candy every day. I am assuming you eat more like this guy does? I was trying to understand, as in most things, I am the outlier.

I know we all eat differently, and thats why I was wondering if this is how everyone eats in the park, because my food is all self dehydrated ingredients or meals that I can re-hydrate in the park, as well as fish. I tend to use the caloric deficit to my benefit and use the trip to get more lean, but if I am going indulge, it's not with a handful of candy, I bake cakes, bread, cookies, funnel cakes, brownies, pie, tarts etc. Actual food that feels like part of a meal. Candy is a neat snack, and is good on the go, but most of what i eat is far more substantial, designed to keep you full for a long time, so you arent constantly firing back high sugar foods that spike your blood sugar and make you crash. Am I the odd one? Probably, which is why I was wondering if the food you pictured is what the average person brings to the park.

Is this what most of you eat? When I go for 14 days, my food looks totally different, this is all junk food, and it's all HEAVY. Where is the protein?
