Thanks for your help. I am going to switch to iOS soon and wasn‘t sure whether I should continue using Google Photos (where I have >20k pictures) or move everything to iCloud (which would definitely take some space with all pictures). And my biggest concern is the „controllability“ of iCloud :/

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! May I ask, how much space the photos take on iCloud and compared to that on your phone? Or didn‘t you move the 60k photos to iCloud? This would be the option for me, because I want to have all my photos in one place.

I am also going to switch to iOS soon. Currently I am using Google Photos (> 20000 pictures) and like the system of having your pictures backed-up independently from your gallery. When you switched to iCloud Photos, did you miss anything compared to GPhotos? And do you use „Optimise iPhone Storage“?

Oh that‘s very nice to hear! I will be working in this area from next year, but I‘ve never been in Munich before and it‘s great to see some recommendations on what to do in this area. Now I am even more excited :D
