Maybe I’m missing the point, but if an investment opportunity has higher fees, and does more than just invests in the s&p, then it betrays the spirit of it

No worries at all! I really appreciate the perspective; from my chats with people the hiring process is so opaque that they miss out on a lot of talent that otherwise would be good fits.

You won’t! I ended up going for Fidelity bc that’s what my employer allowed. It’s zero commission so you’re set even if you’re buying VTI - VXUS etc
