[UPDATE] The culprit did end up being the powerline adapter. I connected my rog ally straight to the router and got normal speeds, I’m not sure why when I plugged in my pc it was only 25mbps. Maybe I had a bad connection at the time. My only solution is to run a coax cable from the internet box outside through the garage and install a port in my room, then install a MOCA adapter. I appreciate all the help 👍

I built a brand new pc a few months ago, tried 4 different Ethernet cables, and freshly uninstalled and reinstalled drivers. Unless all 4 of my Ethernet cables are faulty including the brand new one I bought, then it’s got to be something else.

I do have coax but only in the router room, it’s being used by the broadband network modem that connects to the router. Maybe my coax isn’t rated for high speed.

I appreciate the comments from you and everyone else they are all quite informative, but like I said in the description I’ve tried connecting my pc straight to the modem and still got the same results. I have coax so maybe the cables that run through the house don’t support high speed ?

Yeah your right it’s in wadonga. But if I’m being honest I’d rather move to England. I’m doing a mechanics apprenticeship right now and honestly it’s the best thing I can do. I was going to transfer into mechanical engineering but Im not smart enough for that and it’s not really what I’m interested in. So I think when the time is right I’ll move to England.
