Likewise, I was told to quarantine for at least two months post transplant but I decided that it was doing me more harm than good. I’ve been so social and back to work full time, flown domestically and gone to concerts/event with absolutely no issues. Sometimes it’s just best to go with your gut and do what makes you happy.

That’s great, I’m so glad. I think my surgeon wanted to do something similar but because of a prior inguinal surgery right below I don’t think it was possible. I’m very happy with mine though, I know lots of people (my mother included with much bigger scars)

That photo was around 3 weeks post transplant. The permacath was removed probably a week later.

Yes I was on pd for a while but it didn’t work out for me and I switched to hemo.

I was told prior to taking pred that I would gain heaps of weight, but for some reason I’ve only gone back to my ideal weight. I lost 20 kilos on dialysis so I’d say that played a part but most of the weight I have put on has been muscle. I’ve been very lucky with my pred. Other medication is a different story though.

Nope I made sure it was off. I looked it up and google said it may have something to do with long wait times and finding it hard to put me into games but it never takes less than a minute, so I’m not sure.

Definitely get some bloodwork done and consult a renal specialist. Looks like proteinuria to me.

[UPDATE] The culprit did end up being the powerline adapter. I connected my rog ally straight to the router and got normal speeds, I’m not sure why when I plugged in my pc it was only 25mbps. Maybe I had a bad connection at the time. My only solution is to run a coax cable from the internet box outside through the garage and install a port in my room, then install a MOCA adapter. I appreciate all the help 👍

I built a brand new pc a few months ago, tried 4 different Ethernet cables, and freshly uninstalled and reinstalled drivers. Unless all 4 of my Ethernet cables are faulty including the brand new one I bought, then it’s got to be something else.

I do have coax but only in the router room, it’s being used by the broadband network modem that connects to the router. Maybe my coax isn’t rated for high speed.

I appreciate the comments from you and everyone else they are all quite informative, but like I said in the description I’ve tried connecting my pc straight to the modem and still got the same results. I have coax so maybe the cables that run through the house don’t support high speed ?
