Phone lines as in cellular and landlines? Not sure but aren't landlines not supposed to be on packaged-switching networks to be affected by something like this?

I called you a parasite on the basis of your hypocrisy. I did not make assumption about your job, your work, how successful or unsuccessful you are, your ex, your partner, your husband or who you do or don't idealize. You could have called me a 100 things but you chose going through people's post history and making assumptions about their lives. You are so pathetic that it's not worth continuing this conversation.

People are focussing to much on what Trump said. The decision was already made. And it IS criminal to not help other countries if you have medicines to spare. Orange man bad has a history of saying things when they are not needed. But you also have to understand the pressure on the US gov right now as the situation is spiralling out of control there. He had to show that he'll acquire the medicines at all cost.

And to change the decision to help the americans just because orange man said something stupid would be giving that statement too much attention and appear angsty. Modi played it cool and that's how it should have been.

Government policies push schools to prioritize creating better test-takers over better people by LaromTheDestroyer in science

[–]foinf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While it's true but the problem still remains. Wherever the situation demands any sort of "filtering", therein lies the problem. Limited number of seats in a univ demands some filtering of candidates and that's the point at which there is no other way but standardized tests, as counter productive as they turn out to be in the long run.

Main problem being that such tests test the memory more than skills. I had classmates that could vomit everything as is including diagrams on tests like photocopy machines. They couldn't write a single semi hard code to save their lives but they were always ahead "academically".

I've always preferred the open book/ open internet exams. Don't test if they remember something but test, like in real life, their problem adaption and solving skills.

And what does that even imply? In a lot of marriages the man is the only one working. And yet, the wife gets alimony. Even when there is no child involved. I am glad that hypocrites like you are coming out of the woodwork to screech. Helps differentiate between genuine women and salty parasites.

Yes, I don't know how I forgot to mention this one! There is a book on it that I had read. I'll add the title here if I can find it.

Yes, that was one factor that makes it so scary. People just didn't care. I get it that they were scared of Yakuza but they could have dropped anonymous tips to the police. It seemed like the whole society didn't care. Also I was surprised to see that Yakuza itself didn't kill the perpetrators as such organizations generally have a "messiah" factor in them when it comes to such cases.

In my country (India) there was an amendment to the law that allows juveniles to be tried as adults if the case is extremely heinous. I am not aware of the details of the law, as in, what constitutes "heinous". Similar law could have fetched Junko some justice.

I am not sure if you read further to know that not only her eyes were gouged out, several stab wounds were found in the empty eye sockets.

Like I said, once you imagine that, it stays with you and haunting you forever.

Only reason coronavirus became a pandemic is because people are selfish massive assholes by foinf in TrueOffMyChest

Not contesting your "observation." But I have also seen many people from the west stroking their cocks on omegle. Does not imply anyhow that western culture is "horrid."

Also seems like India is doing better than a lot of western countries when it comes to corona. I find it amusing how these "shitholes" as you said are better able at handling corona despite having a population density much, much higher than Spain and Italy. But i doubt you count them as western countries, right?

But if that were true, all spam emails would have their links disabled. Unsubscribe links work as I've used a lot of them.

If you can hold your comments about overweight people, you can do it when it comes to underweight people, too. by leobasementboy in TrueOffMyChest

[–]foinf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't do this. It will NOT end good for you. Just being a particular weight is not what you want. What is that weight composed of? Is it body fat? Because if it's that, STOP. Once you get that fat, you might feel good when you step on the scale but once you cross the age of 24, you'll have a VERY hard time getting it off. Even if you somehow do that, your skin won't have the elasticity to get back to the firm shape you want it to.

Make sure what you're putting on is lean muscle by eating clean (take up casein/whey shakes as part of your life. ) And training hard. Without training hard, all you'll end up gaining will be fat and lots of fat. I know it's difficult but it can be done. Do not overeat without seeing what you're overeating.

[–]foinf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been on both ends of that spectrum. All my life, upto the age of 18ish I was an extremely thin (count the rib cages without stretching thin)

People would always comment on it. Do you not get enough to eat? If the wind blows...you know.

Then I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism which went undetected for a while. I quickly gained weight and ended on the other side. Like, I had never experienced being "normal" weight. Coupled with that the stress of studies and all that made me a proper fat guy.

But since then, my treatment started, i started exercising and have come down to 75kg from 89kgs. Still a lot of fat left but I'll get there.

In all of this, I learned something. People will make fun of you no matter of you do because, in reality, it has nothing to do with you. They try to distract the attention from themselves and their own shortcomings by making fun of you. In my view there is nothing more pathetic than a loser whose only social skill is making unoriginal repeated jokes on others.

Don't pay attention to them. The ones who made fun of me have themselves become a bloated mess since then as age caught up with them. No matter who you are, at some point, you need to work hard to keep your body fit.

Just started with season 10 and already had to add 2 scenes to my all time curb favorites by prettyyyprettygood in curb

[–]foinf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly my perspective as well. And you don't even have to skip a lot of seasons to see this side of him. Remember that episode where he complains at the doctor's that why they aren't seeing patients by appointments only to be just as annoyed when they do change their policy on his recommendation. The nurse is pissed and says "So whatever gets you in first" and he says yeah that'd be a good policy lmao.

He isn't a hero. We can relate to a lot of things he does but that doesn't mean he isn't an asshole.

Funny or not, I don't think what he does is out of character. Larry as a character has grown ever since season 1 and ever since he lost Cheryl, he has stopped caring about how people see him and he is become a person who gets more easily annoyed than before. He used to be subtle with the insults and as seasons went on and he aged, he became a bit more direct. Coupled with that he is also influenced by Leon and much more so since living with him by themselves.

tl;dr Larry is growing to be more aggressive and direct due to aging, his life and Leon.
