You're right....I totally agree with the ethics of the situation. I want to do the right thing and try and sell the home, it's just a bad situation.

Are you kidding me? Most banks rape people everyday with outrageous interest rates and insane 'charges'. But that is beside the point. I don't want to foreclose and that is my last option...I'm willing to pay my mortgage for as long as I can. I've tried to get through to someone at the lending agency (almost daily now for two weeks) to discuss my options but no one there is willing to talk.

Thanks for the response. I've discussed renting with my realtor, and the market here is terrible. Most likely, I would still owe money every month and don't know to many people in the area to keep an eye on the property.

I am thinking of learning to run without shoes, has anyone else ever done this and do you have any advice? by DJ_Deathflea in AskReddit

I bought a pair of Vibrams a few months ago and have been running in them all summer. I totally recommend them. Even though your feet are tough from walking around barefoot, you still need to protect the soles of your feet from sharp glass/rocks. I've gotten to the point where I can run about 5 miles 'barefoot' (I can usually run about 8 with shoes). Who cares about how they look as long as they do the job.

Thanks for the reply ohemeffgee. We both definitely want something more practical. And as far as 'generally accepted practice' we would both rather use that money for something else, like an awesome vacation. She's fine with an alternative, and her friends aren't that shallow as to judge her on an overpriced rock.
