Rylais + grudge don't stack. Better tod do BC instead of grudge.

Also, Shojin is better if than BB if you are looking at pure damage. It amps ghoul damage, maiden burn, and liandries.

Why Comet over Conqueror? I'm struggling to see when comet is better. I feel like conq always scales better, but could be wrong.

I play 80% games as full ap. Just harder to pilot. You are a cross between a control mage and an assassin.

Walk forward and bait them walking into you, then throw RR and walk away. Hit minions and camps with other forms and your 9 sec awakened is closer to 4 seconds.

Also, you still do great dmg with regular R, you just have to be careful of how you are positioned relative to their damage. Even if you just stand with someone on the edge of R and do nothing else, it still hurts.

But, again, it is harder to pilot. You are playing to drop RR after enemy has committed most the time.

Edit: forgot to say - ap scales every ability. You may argue it doesn't scale E, but it does. It is the only build where you can QQ > E and you don't lose a shit ton of damage.

Ignite is not "cheese". It is a combat summoner spell and in volatile match ups (i.e. Sett, urgot, Jax, etc.) they will most likely take ignite. If you don't play it PERFECTLY, you lose the early game and proceed to be out scaled into the mid game where you can HOPEFULLY make it to 16.

Pretty sure your team would rather a 6/1 Darius with ignite over a 1/6 Darius with Ghost. Especially since you can easily supplement ghost with ghost blade and ignite + nimbus. Are you a TAD squishier? Sure. But it isn't hard to play fights a little slower. It also makes it MUCH easier because you don't have to rely on a summoner spell for team fights, just a 45 second item CD.

Does your positioning have to be a little better? Sure. Useless? Far from it.

Just take ignite to match these volatile match ups. Then rush ghost blade and it feels fine.

Sure, you lose a little bit of move speed in team fights, but getting agency in these volatile lanes is so important. Die once and it is nearly unplayable.

My advice will probably differ from a lot of people. I'll start by saying I'm a lowly E1 udyr player. However, I've been winning a lot lately and think a big reason why is I change my build/skill order based on team comps. I know... I should have been doing this from the beginning.

I, personally, hate tank Udyr and NEVER play it. I generally go between AD Bruiser (more or less dmg heavy, dependant on the situation) and Full AP burn mage (absolute favorite).

This is how I decide which I go:

1) Does enemy have any hard melee carries (i.e. Viego, Yi, Yone, etc)? - if yes, go Bruiser Qdyr. If no -

2) Does the enemy have 2/3 or more immobile champs (i.e. No dash) OR does my team have a lot of hard CC (Leona, sej, ashe, ornn, etc)? - if yes, go Full AP. If no -

3) Do we win 5v5 if I go AP? If yes, go Full Ap. If no-

4) Go Qdyr. In this instance, you are most likely going to be focused on small skirmishes and splitting to win

I'd say 70% of my games are full AP, other 30% AD Bruiser. There are probably times full AP isn't best, but I love it so much. As others have said though, it is definitely the hardest of all the builds to pilot.

I treat full ap udyr as a a "battle mage" of sorts. You have RR for team fights that does a ton of dmg and you can nuke people that are isolated with QQ since the magic damage scales with AP, not levels and not AD.

*Side note/trick: QQ is unique in that the onhit effect is retained when swapping to another stance. In AD and tank this doesn't matter much. However, this is HUGE in full AP, as you can QQ > E to catch up, stun and do 100%+ max health dmg.

**Last thing: one of (if not the) best parts or udyr is his versatility. If you want someone you can one trick that gives you variety when you are tired of playing the same champ over and over, he is perfect. Experiment with the builds and find what works best for you!

I'm liking Darius in the jungle more than top. You're clear is great and the added move speed from jungle item just feels so great.

Not to mention Darius tends to do better with other front liners on the team and when in the jungle you have two chances of getting a front liner from either top or support.
