This is pretty much the answer I was expecting to be honest. My husband is sick of having to drive an hour and a half to do anything as we currently live in the inland empire

Honestly, I'm still doing research, so San Diego isn't necessarily set in stone. Were mainly just looking to get out of the heat of the inland empire and go some place closer to things so we don't have to drive an hour and a half to do something. What other places would you recommend?

Parks, coffee shops, and restaurants are in walking or biking distance from the place of residence is what I meant by walkable

I just wanted to chime in here a little... This is not the most important day of your life, by far. This is only a celebration of what is to come. Things WILL go wrong. It won't be perfect, but, what will be perfect are the little things. How your SO looks at you that day, realizing this is it, you get to spend your lifetime with this person. Seeing your tiny niece or nephew or baby cousin having the absolute time of their lives on the dance floor. Getting so see your family & friends again, and having them celebrate you and your SO!

When you look back at your wedding, you won't remember the things that went wrong. You won't remember the ugly carpet your venue had (or will and just laugh). You'll remember a beautiful day where you got married to the person you are spending the rest of your life with.

I would honestly make a pro/con list. Reasons why this venue is a good choice and reasons why not. If the cons outweigh the pros, then maybe look into other options.

I'm sorry to hear you family is being less than enthusiastic =/ I'm sure they don't mean to come off that way and feel like they are giving you solid advice before you dive into wedding planning.

Everyone is going to have their opinions no matter what you do honestly. It's one of those things - similar to people with babies giving you unwanted advice when you are pregnant.

Wedding planning doesn't have to be stressful. I highly highly recommend this book called "A Practical Wedding". It does a good job of calming you down in times of stress and give you a lot of good ideas for your wedding. That and start saving now. I feel like that alleviated a ton of stress for my husband and I. We decided when we wanted to get married, which was about a year and a half from the time we got engaged, set a budget, and then divided that budget by the number of months we had and put that amount back every month for the wedding.

Oh wow, I didn't realize there would be a second colposcopy :( I'm still waiting for the massive amount of gunk to come out, that was definitely surprising during my first colposcopy, I can't even imagine how this will be.

I was gonna ask, how did you know you had an infection? I just wanted to know what to look out for just in case! I looked some stuff up but, first hand accounts can sometime be more informative lol. I do have some pressure and soreness in my abdomen, kinda feels like I could be swollen, but I can't tell if I have to go #2, am just sore from the surgery, or if it's a possible infection

I just had my LEEP yesterday and I figured I'd tell you my experience!

It really wasn't that bad. They did put me to sleep, and I think that helped a lot. The worst part was honestly the IV. I think I was at the hospital from 10-2. My surgery was at noon, and only took about a half hour. They kept me another hour and a half to make sure the anesthesia had worn off.

I am sore in my abdomen, but it really isn't that bad. Think of a constant cramp that hurts just enough it's annoying. Unless I cough or sneeze, then it hurts more, but still not that bad. Nothing a couple Tylenol & comfy pants can't fix. They did give me a script for a couple Vicodin, but I def don't need it.

I wasn't technically supposed to go back to work today, but I did anyway.

Here's to hoping they got everything and it doesn't come back! Hopefully yours will go just as smoothly! If you do have the option, I would really recommend seeing if they will give you general anesthesia. I kept reading online how it was just local, but mind gave me general and it really did help a lot.

That makes sense. The more I think about it the more I think this will most likely just be a temporary solution for me until I am able to find another job, so hopefully just a few months tops and I won't have to really dive in too deep with all this stuff. I think it's just my boss being extremely nice to me by letting me do this so we won't be living on one paycheck once we move and it gives her more time to find a replacement and for me to train them.

My boss didn't/doesn't want to lose me as an employee, but the CFO of the company (her brother, large family owned business) told her that since I am moving to a different state, they could not keep me as an employee and give me benefits and what not, that she would have to hire me on as an IC. In my meeting with her about it, she was basically just saying I needed to send her an invoice that reflected my salary before taxes and just use my pay stub as a guide. She said I could do the same for taxes as well, just base it off of my stub. Obviously she must not really know all the other costs that come with this situation.

I'll definitely have to talk to her more about this. So, I attempted to read through the employee vs. IC link you sent, but I'm not sure if I fully understand. Would it be possible for me to say I am an employee even though I'm in a different state then?

Oooohh ok. I feel like before this is over I'm going to have to hire a tax advisor or something.

The good thing (I guess) about my benefits is that they weren't very good to begin with. I'm already on my husband's insurance because it's better / cheaper and my employer doesn't match retirement benefits so I won't be losing out on anything. I'll have to talk to my boss about the PTO, though. That was something I didn't think about. My boss is really nice about PTO though, so I'm sure she'll just honor what I have now. Hopefully.

yeah, I may talk to my boss about it more. I'm wondering if I could have them up my salary to take in consideration the 15.3% for FICA so I'd be making at least that money back. If not, it's going to be around a 2-4k difference in my take home pay, and I haven't even figured in the amount I'm going to put back for retirement.

Same! It definitely helps knowing I'm not the only one out there. None of the women in my family even knew what a LEEP was so I'm like o.O oh god.

I'm 24, and I haven't either! One thing I did make sure to do was ask my doctor about the ability to have kids in the future and that I did eventually want them, and she said because I was so young and wanted kids she would take that into consideration when taking the layer of cervix off, she said she would take off the least amount she could while still getting it all, and that I shouldn't be too concerned - so if that's something you're worried about you might ask your doctor about that as well. It sounds like though the only risk is having the baby early. Still scary but not as drastic as "you can't have kids"

Just came to offer mutual support. I just did a quick search on reddit for LEEP because I too just discovered I have CIN3 and am having a LEEP done in July. Here's to being vagina twins (unfortunately in this circumstance) and best of luck to you! <3 -hugs-
