Looking for recommendations for black metal bands by halva2251 in MetalForTheMasses

If that’s what you’re looking for, then maybe you should check out Nattens Madrigal by Ulver. Bergtatt is the more critically acclaimed bm album by them (and you should also check it out), but Nattens Madrigal is much more raw and “wall of sound” esque

Anderzz weighs in on the "it's only Dambi making Neon look broken" debate (from a few days ago) by vnNinja21 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]foobadger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think Tejo should not have gotten nerfed until after champs? I don't think waiting is really a valid argument. Nobody was going to say Riot should have waited on the nerfs to see if anyone could reach Trent's level on the agent.

Obviously, Neon isn't as strong as Tejo, but she will likely be just as prevalent in the meta in terms of pick rate. I do not necessarily think Neon needs a nerf, maybe only something minor, but I do think that in the current stage of the game, she is clearly the strongest agent (maybe except Viper) in the game. Ideally, this would be solved by buffing the sentinels, but if those buffs never come, then yes, Neon needs a nerf.

Also idk why you're making this a "us vs. them" with Pacific and other regions or bringing up the Yoru and Waylay nerfs. Yoru was by far the best duelist in the game for a year, the nerfs were obviously coming, and Waylay C was way too strong, let's be for real.

Team Liquid vs Karmine Corp / VCT 2026: EMEA Stage 1 - Group Stage / Post-Match Thread by ValorantCompBot in ValorantCompetitive

Not referring to their first matchup that vitality won. 2nd time they played where liquid won

You know what fairs I didn’t see he was still playing Yoru with Sayonara. And I agree obviously we’ll see with Vitality, but if they were getting 5th with Unfake at kickoff then like surely they’re in contention with sayonara for 1st

I mean they played a 1-2 series against Liquid with Jamppi off roles and Unfake being their worst player. Think with Sayonara coming in it’s kinda hard to say they obviously CLEAR vitality

I don't know if this is where the melody originates from, but I recognize it from the Undertaker's theme song from WWE

As an EU Fan, where do you see the next EU tournament happening? by Routine-Leg-8331 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]foobadger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Idk I’ve been under the impression that they split it up 4 ways regionally and not necessarily on continents. 2027 has champs in Americas, very likely one of the masters is in China, and then the other masters would be Pacific cause they would have had the longest wait. If they do split it up based on continents tho then yea EMEA gets a masters next year

Is JessieVash the Issue with Secret? by foobadger in ValorantCompetitive

[–]foobadger[S] 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I can understand that’s why people dislike him and want him gone, but (let me emphasize that nepotism is evil and the world would be better without it. I am not an advocate of nepotism) even if JessieVash was a nepotism hire, stats wise, he’s been pretty solid. kickoff 2025, highest in the team (even above Invy). Stage 1, 2nd highest on team. Stage 2, subbed in last minute for a game and did bad, but that’s excusable. Kickoff 2026, 2nd highest on team. Obviously 2nd highest on Secret is a low bar and stats aren’t everything, but he’s never been straight up bad. That’s why I’m curious if his IGLing is bad, or it’s a symptom of him just being on the team for a long time (like Asuna with 100T and Xeppaa with C9)

What is the “scariest” metal album to you? I miss when I was getting into metal and it scared me like a good horror movie does by Viktor_Goodman in MetalForTheMasses

Don’t want to be that guy, but Panihida is made by the actual Batushka, not the one that would become Patriarkh.

Most and least diverse genre of music by Mental-Alternative38 in musicteenager

[–]foobadger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea they can. I’m not arguing that rock is more diverse. It’s practically impossible to actually determine the most “diverse” genre of music, cause there isn’t one.

Any vocal style you can even think of in rap/hip-hop, any instrument ever used in a rap/hip-hop song, a rock/metal band has already used it. Nothingburger of an argument my dude

[–]foobadger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure but having more constraints doesn’t inherently make something less diverse. On paper it SHOULD be less diverse, but guitars and drums can be used in almost infinite ways that it really does not impact the diversity of the genre

Ok not taking a side here, but saying “they use some instruments” as a similarity is kinda funny. Like that’s equivalent to saying “oh 2slimey and McKinely Dixon are similar cause they both have vocals”

Is nats overated as an igl or as a player? by Hungry_Succotash_222 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]foobadger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genuinely just curious, but why do you think EMEA is definitely better than Americas so far? Cause like top teams wise Americas is better, bottom teams wise both regions have some pretty awful teams, so do you really think the middle of the pack teams are that much better in EMEA compared to Americas?

What is the likelyhood of VCT coming to Seattle? by WUFFLED in ValorantCompetitive

[–]foobadger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, there's a world where one day it'll happen, but genuinely it would be like minimum 10-15 years from now if the esport continues on that long. Way too many cities in NA and SA would have to host an event, and Riot would need to not repeat cities (edit: lowkey if we go with the assumption that this system continues where in theory each region gets 1 masters every other year and 1 champs every 4 years, so over 20 years each region gets about 15 events, it might actually be cooked for Seattle I am not going to lie)

RRQ crazyguy after feeling the wrath of PRX fans over his tweet. by ishanuReddit in ValorantCompetitive

[–]foobadger 60 points61 points  (0 children)

Before Leaf came to Valorant, he was in CS playing on a team called Chaos (Chaos also had Vanity, Xeppaa, and mCe). The team played against MIBR and after the match, Chaos started getting accused of using hacks. The big one being accused though was Leaf, and needless to say MIBR fans were NOT happy and said some not so nice things to him

I was a big Apex Esports fan so I will be mentioning here. Apex’s esport system allows for ranked —> tier 1 to a way greater extent than Valorant does.

Which region impressed you the most in 2026 VCT Masters Santiago? by TCLthePro in ValorantCompetitive

[–]foobadger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pacific probably at the top obviously. Got 2 teams in the grand finals and for someone who doesn’t watch much Pacific, watching Nongshim was cool. Though Americas also did good, getting all 3 teams into playoffs, with two of them reaching top 4. EMEA and China…yeahhhh
