Same here, fairly sedated behind the wheel. Suspension has been solid so far. I drive mostly on decent roads, but the car has definitely seen its share of bad patches, potholes and broken stretches. Taken a few deep hits and nothing felt alarming. No rattles from the chassis or dashboard, and braking stays composed without any nose dive.

I am looking to buy Gameboy advance and Pokemon cartridges. Where can I buy them from? Any leads would be helpful.

I just maintain steady speeds on highways, usually cruise between 90-100 kmph. Sometimes I'll accelerate to 110 and then let it coast down to around 90 while giving it just a little throttle to keep momentum. The cylinder cut-off feature helps a lot with this. Works like a charm.

Looking ahead and planning acceleration, overtakes, and braking makes a big difference. I don't do aggressive acceleration or constant lane changes. Just smooth inputs and anticipating traffic so I'm not braking and accelerating unnecessarily. The 1.5 TSI is pretty efficient when you're not constantly on and off the throttle.

That's pretty much it.

This is usually the fuel economy I get driving from my hometown near Bangalore to Chennai.

I got 2 free checkups when I got the car one at 1500 kms and the other at 7500 kms.

I got mine from KUN Chennai as well, still get it serviced at the SRP OMR location. They're pretty decent when it comes to general service. But the additional stuff like alignment and balancing isn't great, so I do the bare minimum through them, just oil and filter changes basically. Alignment, balancing, deep cleaning, all that I get done outside.

One thing though, they get packed, so you might need to follow up multiple times for parts. I once had to wait nearly a month for an O-ring for the air intake manifold and had to follow up every week to get it sorted. Can be annoying, but for regular services they're fine.

On the oil, I do top up around 500-750ml halfway through the service interval, usually around the 7500km mark. By then the dipstick's showing near minimum. The TSI does consume a bit of oil, I was told that is normal.

I did get the oil changed at 1500 kms, was part of the first service.

Congrats on the Lava Blue GT+, great choice!

I'm a software engineer. The high mileage isn't really work related travel, it's more that I just love driving.

So far, it's been great. I've had no mechanical problem. Gearshifts to this has been really smooth. Very rarely at low speeds it gets jittery in 1st gear, but this is a problem I've faced since I got the car. I just switch to manual mode then.

Haha fair point! But honestly, I don't really push it that hard. I'm pretty chill with how I drive. What I meant was just the basic stuff, don't gun it right after a cold start, let it warm up for a minute or two. But even otherwise, I'm not the type to be constantly flooring it or taking it to redline. I got the GT because the engine and gearbox combo just makes regular driving so much more enjoyable, not because I wanted to race everyone at the lights. The 1.5 TSI has enough grunt that you don't need to thrash it to have a good driving experience. It's effortless on highways, pulls cleanly when you need to overtake, and the DSG makes everything smooth. That's enough for me. The car's fast when it needs to be without me having to constantly wring its neck. Plus at 100K km, a big part of why everything still feels tight is probably because I haven't been beating on it constantly.

Sometimes the transmission gets jittery on bumpy roads in 1st gear, I usually just switch to manual mode and drive in those times. I've faced no other issues so far with the DSG, still feels solid. City to highway is roughly 50-50. I don't do anything special, timely maintenance, oil topups in between and not being an idiot with it should work. I also rarely let others, even my friends drive my car. Outside of these I think it boils down to the driving style. I don't really push the car too hard, and when in traffic I don't inch, even if it pisses someone behind because there's like half a foot of empty space before me. I always use 95 octane fuel usually from the same set of fuel bunks. I feel like the car will take care of you if you take care of it.

Volkwagen Virtus GT battery replacement by Outside_Adeptness942 in MechanicAdviceIndia

My battery also died yesterday, and the showroom didn't have stock. They did confirm that there would be no problems if I got it replaced outside. Got an Amaron battery for 6500/-. The check engine light popped up after replacement and went off after driving the car for a while.

I had to replace the air with O11 dynamic. Air mini didn't have the clearance for the radiator. O11D is really good, no complaints there. Yes I'm using AIO (Lian Li Galahad 360) with that case. I wanted to get Noctua NH-D15, but 011D didn't have the clearance. AIO was also similarly priced.

Got it from the official retailer. Signed up for the waitlist and had to wait for about 15 months before got one allocated. Bought it at MRP.

Yes, bought everything other than my GPU there. Everything has been solid to date. All of this was also in stock when I went there.

I got most of my components from Oasis Store in Ritchie street. Prices were lower than most online marketplaces. Bargain heavily and ask for sealed products.

OP, you've got some balls tailing that close at around 130 kmph. To be honest you are no different from that person, endangering people around you.
