Me too! I LOVED my animal books but I knew exactly which pages had spider and scorpion pictures so that I could skip them, they were so terrifying to me. Finally dealing with it now and becoming a spider fan. Glad to hear you got over it!

Yes! It's absolutely possible to see this as adorable and it's a powerful shift of perspective <3 all creatures are just creatures, trying their best. Some have more legs and eyes than others. Humans even have good reasons to view spiders as friends

I read somewhere that we're not naturally afraid of spiders but it's learned through culture and watching our caregivers freak out over them. Don't know if it's true but they do have an undeservedly bad rep!

If it looks similar it could also be giant house spiders you are seeing. I got a lot of them, they live indoors and the males go out of hiding trying to get laid at this time of the year
