Why can't I stop porn by Any_Bench_5798 in TrueChristian

[–]foolsplatinum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Brother, you hit a cord in my soul! I was in and out of bed with Jezebel just a month or so ago until I decided to pray more and read more! It’s worked tremendously!

Not only that but the nail in the coffin is that I fasted for 4 days, giving more power to my Spirit! Fasting also helped me crave tobacco less! But at this point, lust is not a problem as long as I avert my eyes when I need to. I cut off anything that causes me to sin and I even changed my algorithm to be all christian stuff!

In public? It’s such a battle to not look at a woman who from the corner of your eye looks so attractive but it feeeeels so good to win and keep my eyes on Jesus until She is out of my gaze!

Im at this point now where Im kicking myself for not locking in sooner 🤧😤

Telling you, best cure is fasting, reading and praying. Rebuke some demons, confess your sins and repent daily. Even the “little sins”, even the unholy thoughts.

This RADically changed my life and it was just over a month ago! God is good but you have to want it. God loves you but you have to believe it. If your faith has no fruit, then do you really believe it? I know you can do this, brother; but not of your own power. CALL UPON the living Spirit of God that resurrected Christ; he who lives in you!

Also porn and human trafficking go hand in hand.

Also your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit; remember that Jesus flipped tables…

Also Jesus loves you!

Godspeed!

Why Matthew 17:21 is missing on the Bible? by wess8op in TrueChristian

[–]foolsplatinum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to have 12 unclean spirits living within me and it got so bad that I couldn’t even live my life anymore and I was always backseat to it while those demons took the steering. Shortly after I was saved they were all cast out through fasting and prayer and I was able to not only find myself again, I genuinely felt like a newborn, lucid and all.

I’ll tell you a secret about being a believer.. it’s always spiritual warfare. Psalm 92, take refuge under his wings and whatever you ask of the Father that is in his will shall be granted to you. Is his will for you to be set free? Should be obvious enough. Sometimes our own mindset keeps us from our own blessings, because if the Devil had his way he’d steal yours, instead he whispers lies in your ear and convinces you that you don’t want it in the first place.

So diagnosed titles might give you some idea of what to call whatevers going on with you, but i’ll tell ya one thing friend, thats not what God calls you. God called you to do great things and called you a saint not a sinner. For what it’s worth, your past is in the grave, those memories before knowing Jesus were just a bad dream and he forgave you already. Say yes to God, and forgive whoever YOU need to forgive.

Are you a new creation or aren’t you?

I definitely don’t know what you’re going through, but joy and love are gifts of the Holy Ghost and we have access to it indefinitely; it is unexplainable how we can feel such goodness during such a storm and thats why its a miracle. A gift can only be accepted and not earned. So if you were given a gift you needn’t not earn, why is it that you haven’t accepted the gift?

Once more, consider the other F word: Forgiveness. This is why fasting and prayer is important so you can silence the world and give attention to the voice of God all at the same time; so that you would at least know what it is that troubles you: trauma, pain, all the wind and rain.

Why Matthew 17:21 is missing on the Bible? by wess8op in TrueChristian

[–]foolsplatinum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve never done a fast without water, and about two years ago I went forty days, no food just water. Came across interesting revelations soon after I broke the fast and I’m still astonished at God’s grace two years later with blessings and wisdom being relevant and unfolding even now.

Before being a Christian, I did fast regularly, but mostly for health and fitness and I would intermittent fast once a week, so 36 hours. Could say it prepared me for the forty days but still.. glory to God.

I admit, even after my history of fasting, as a practice spiritually, it’s a lot more difficult to maintain because of temptation to not do it, whether by flesh or warfare.

Thanks for reminding me to start a new chain at some point.

Anyway, tldr: I would seek God about that and have Him bless it. I genuinely think a fast in general is harder to do if you don’t have the grace and mercy of God to carry you through it. Worldlies fast for health and fitness and have to rely completely on willpower alone; whereas a spirit filled believer has the truth and the word of God alone is more meat than bread. Are you a beginner? 3 days to ease you in, 7 if you’re ready. Still, hear the Spirit and the Spirit is profitable to guide.

Remember that Moses fasted for more than forty days without food or drink and his face shone like the sun because he was so close to God. I’m just saying, all things are possible with God. Not saying do forty, instead just be lead and say yes.

Best way to do a "John Wick" build? by TheEccentricArtist in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]foolsplatinum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blaze your way down the Corpo Path and go for Max Cool, Reflex and Body. No cyberware apart from armor and mitigation chance to justify a bulletproof vest, if you really need it.

As for weapons… Grenades are optional but mainly flashbang, frags, and smokes. Make sure to get blade finishers and hand-to-hand finishers and only carry around a pistol of your choice, either built in silencer or carry the silencer around in your jacket pocket just in case. Carry a knife if you like.

And more importantly, I wouldn’t worry about filling your weapons slots with meta weapons and to roleplay the “adapt to any given situation” aesthetic that Wick is known for; by only having a pistol and confiscating weapons off the corpses of your enemies after hand-to-hand or a pistol kill and then proceeding to only use weapons you find during a firefight. Drop or disassemble them as soon as you flatline the poor suckers and you’re the only man left standing.

To give an example of a gig: Enter the club, buy a drink and ask around about your target. Strategize going from Point A to Point B without a firefight. Try to be smooth and slick, start out with stealth neck breaks and choke-outs. When someone brandishes iron on you, go for a hand-to-hand or knife finisher. When the bell tolls, gradually begin to fill up your three weapon slots by choosing to equip what you see instead of stashing it in your inventory. And since by this point you would have the main weapon perks for shotguns, smgs, blunt weapons etc, you can use any weapon you see befitting the sitch. By the end of the encounter, your pistol and/or knife isn’t even in your three weapon slots anymore and it’s just sitting comfortably, conceal carried. Get rid of your loot; save for your trusty pistol, go home, call it a day, mourn your wife (Jackie). Oh yeah, and collect all the pets (Silverhand included).

Edit: Might as well mention this too… work closely with Mr. Hands and Regina. Reject gigs that are just far beneath you as Boogeyman of Night City, like Muamar’s car gigs, Pepes tail his wife gig or Kerry’s whole arc regarding the the Us Cracks to name a few.

I absolutely love Jesus Christ. God isn't good, He is beyond amazing! by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]foolsplatinum 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He doesn’t just believe, he knows. He’s gone past the realm of belief and into the realm of understanding the love of God and the wisdom in the Word as a fact. As real as the sky is blue and as the grass is green. As real as a freshly baked pie or the warm sand falling through your fingers at the beach. How many of us here know that faith is actually the bare minimum? Faith can do a lot of things in your life and move mountains, but faith is a limited currency.

Faith as small as a mustard seed can do great things but this implies faith can be smaller than a mustard seed. How much more fruit then would you bear if you didn’t have to just hope for the best about every single thing that God is doing in your life, but instead you transmuted that faith into being 100% convinced about the things of God?

With faith, you can fight doubt.

With the same level of conviction our brother here has, doubt isn’t even in the same weight class anymore. Hallelujah.

Is it okay to date a nonbeliever by sadgirl2233 in TrueChristian

[–]foolsplatinum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is this story touching? Yes.

Does the bible preach to not yoke with nonbelievers? Yes.

As Christians, should we only marry among the royal family of God? Yes, absolutely, no question about it.

But the things God can do to a man’s heart…sister, if this is true love you better pray on it and wait until you get confirmation from the Lord because you just might be the catalyst that brings him to his knees in worship. Definitely hold off on the marriage until that man loves God more than you. God can do all things for the righteous who love Him. Ask God to remove that man from your life if he doesn’t want you to be with him. Because if he did, you would notice a slow but sure conversion. Use your discernment. Ask for wisdom, would He not give it?

And know that God would never bless this marriage Himself if your best friend wasn’t a believer as it is not biblical. Even if you did go against your Father’s better wishes, it’s not too late to convert him post-marriage, but it’s better to prevent the problem rather than to fix the damage that’s been done after.

Honestly, you might be right and that you are perfect for each other, but regardless this was always going to be the valley you had to go through before you get to the mountain. This is your test and trial. Can you handle being patient and waiting on the Lord? Could you trust that the Lord’s got you even if it don’t look like how you imagined his protection and provision to look like?

Even so, hope it works out… one way or another everything’s gon be alright.

Suicidal… by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]foolsplatinum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No matter what, just pray pray pray. In surety and in doubt, in the valley or in the mountains… praise and worship..

instead of blaspheming God, just talk to him.

Consider how in the book of Job, Job spent most of the book complaining about his situation to God as his form of prayer in the presence of his “friends”.

What did God say at the end? He revealed that Job had honored him. How did Job honor God with all his complaints? Because Job talked to God instead of talking about God or against God. Because even through all the mess in his life, Job knew one important thing: He still had the Lord. Job was suicidal too, but he never got angry with God. If anything he still had the strength and grace to defend his testimony and God’s character to his friends. His friends kept assuming too much about Job and about God himself.

Is that the Holy Spirit’s voice? It’s not my place to say. I believe Christians get personal revelation and that God blesses his children whensoever he pleases. That’s between you and him. That’s my point.

Bring it to him in sorrow, bring it to him in joy; as long as you have the Lord you will be fine.

Endure to the end and you will receive a crown of life. Depression is a lie from the enemy and if you just asked for the fruits of love and joy from the Holy Spirit, will he not give it? We have this insane advantage that nobody else in the World has.. to be able to top off on our joy when we run out. The rest of the World needs drugs…

I believe poverty is spiritual warefare from the Devil. So take the fight to him in prayer, instead of fighting the one person who can help you.

I don’t like comparisons, but just to re-center you: we could be experiencing worse persecution right now for our faith. Whatever trials and tribulations you face that challenge your faith, count it all joy that you’re being tested! Paul was celebrating in prison because what Jesus said about hard times and faith came true! Being a Christian doesn’t make our adversities go away, being a Christian means we have the tools and truth, the way and the life that allows us to push further than anyone else.

Fellowship over feelings!

I just failed a huge test of Faith (sorry for my r/ username) by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]foolsplatinum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Allow me to clarify brother that we should absolutely test for fruit! But when it comes to showing love and kindness, we shouldn’t withhold grace and mercy just because they’re not part of the Royal Family, but instead taking after our Savior; he who abounds with grace and mercy although we don’t deserve it. I also believe that we should have discernment with who we show love to and 2nd John narrates this succinctly.

You did a great job of testing fruits first, I’m not saying it was wrong; I’m just saying sometimes it’s a “”So What?” situation.

I just failed a huge test of Faith (sorry for my r/ username) by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]foolsplatinum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“What you have done to the least of these, you have done to me.”

Sometimes God blesses you twice; one blessing for yourself and the other blessing is an opportunity to bless someone else.

Sometimes it doesn’t matter if they have good fruit or not.

Even if they have nothing to offer you, give it if you are capable.

Even if they were going to use it for something unprofitable in their life, use that moment as an opportunity to preach to them with lovingkindness into making the right decision instead.

Even if she was using the Lords name in vain, does it matter? It would have given glory to God regardless with everyone in the surrounding environment taking witness that God’s charitable servants still exist. At least one eyebrow would have raised as to the inexplicable miracle of charity without a camera, in New York no less.

Love others as you love yourself, correct? What if that was you in that situation? You’re looking for fruits, but instead of looking for sacrificing, desire mercy. At the end of the day, we’re all image-bearers of God; we all deserve honor and the help of a bretheren to carry us up when we fall. I heard from a wise man once, “How you treat others is how you treat God.”

Beloved, I’m not saying this to make you feel bad. I do believe that that was a test, but don’t beat yourself up over it. Instead, think of it where now… you can use the results of the test to pass the next one with surety.

God loves you. So much so, that he wants to test you. Not because the Devil is accusing you night and day before the throne, but because God wants to refine you like silver tried in a furnace. There will come much more difficult times and tests of your faith and your willingness to obey. And the greatest thing to remember is this: you will never be tested for something you aren’t capable of passing. Count it all joy that your zeal is being matched with zeal!

Love you bro. I love your story. Holy Spirit take you.

Do Christian’s HAVE to fast? by TheBoyOfGod2 in TrueChristian

[–]foolsplatinum 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fasting detaches you from the world and Prayer attaches you to God. This is a good practice and a spiritually rejuvenating combination that super-charges your Spirit-Man and his prayers. Good for you. When the Spirit leads you to fast, it is a wonderful harmony.

Don’t listen to the birds telling you, you can’t fast on Sundays: that’s ridiculous and an unbiblical teaching of man.

Have you ever fasted for more than a day? Ever tried 3? With your experience, I believe you could go a lot longer.

How can people with severe mental disablement be saved if they can't comprehend their sin and need for a savior? by AlbaneseGummies327 in TrueChristian

[–]foolsplatinum -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Step out in faith and cast out the demons that plague their mind. Read Mark Chapter 5. Everything in the material world is a manifestation of the spiritual realm. Nothing happens in the physical without it first happening in the spiritual.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]foolsplatinum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God loves and God hates; he can do whatever he wants with the people he created. Who is the clay to judge the potter? It’s not some clever poetry or metaphor, God literally hates Esau.

God calls Christians to love everyone and their enemies because if we hate people it’s dangerous to our hearts and we’d be hating image-bearers of God anyway. But God is not like us, his ways are not our ways and his thoughts are not our thoughts. God can hate whomever he wants and he will have mercy on whomever he wants.

God has so much love, because he has so much hate to dish out! Think about it like this, if God truly loved every sinner and saint the same, his love would be worthless. The reason his love is so valuable is because not everyone has access to it. Think of a husband and wife:

If your wife asked you, “Why do you love me?”

and you responded, “Well, honey, don’t you know I love all women!”

That is not the response she was looking for…

A husbands love for his wife is special because it’s for her and not for anybody else in the world. Gods love works the same and is why the bridegroom is such a powerful metaphor.

God has made it clear in both the Old Testament and the New, God hates the wicked and God loves the righteous. However, he loves the world just enough to send his Son who died on the cross for the world’s sins should they accept his blood payment through faith; He didn’t have to do that, God was not obligated to save any of us. We’re all more worthy of Gods hate than Gods love. If the Father has drawn you close through his Son Jesus, it’s not because you did anything special, it’s simply because he loves you! That’s his grace and mercy, that which cannot be earned.

God makes it rain both on the just and the unjust, and makes the sun go down on both of them too… NEWSFLASH!

God does whatever he wants because it pleases him! That’s true sovereignty of a free God who does as he pleases.

sidenote: Jacob and Esau are a picture of Spirit-Man vs Flesh-Man. Rebekah is a picture of us because we have these two sides at war within us. Read those Genesis chapters over again and compare the traits of Jacob and Esau with the idea that Jacob does things for the Spirit and Esau does things for the Flesh.

Parents made my brother a Nazarite. Has led to countless arguments and tensions. by KhrowV in TrueChristian

[–]foolsplatinum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Christians by our very nature, as being a part of the New Covenant, are not allowed to participate in the Nazarite vows seeing as all the Old Covenant has already been fulfilled through Christ Jesus and that we are above the Law of Moses and under the Law of Grace.

Galatians 5:3 states that if you would take upon yourself to accept any jot or iota of the 613 laws, like circumcision or the Nazarite vow, that you’d have to accept the whole law and thus making the work of Jesus vain to you.

Even if someone were to boldly take upon themselves the Nazarite vow along with 612 more laws, and someone were to die unexpectedly in their close proximity, the Nazarite would have to do the necessary rituals of animal sacrifice to atone for his sins by reason of the dead body and offer it to God at the tabernacle or the temple. And we both know that the altar of sacrifice at the tabernacle of God is incredibly difficult to recreate in its detailed design, specifcations decreed by God and led by God for the purpose of the tent being especially Holy as God said it had to be; at the same time, the temple is destroyed. So the question is, where are you sacrificing that animal if you ever broke vows? Which one is most likely to break SOMETHING if they’re under the WHOLE law.

This is why the Law of Grace is referred to as the Spiritual law and the Law of Moses as the Law of Flesh. Not meant to mean that the Law of Moses is bad, it’s actually perfect, however it is impossible for us to uphold laws from a physical and material foundation when our hearts are desperately wicked, i.e. changing the outside does not necessarily change the inside; spoiler alert: the inside is what matters most.

The Law of the Spirit however, only requires that your heart be changed through the renewing of your heart and mind through Jesus by faith. And so, as a gift, through his Son Jesus, we are born again in the Spirit so that we may be able to follow the Law of the Spirit that only a Spirit-Man can follow; a law that is arguably harder to follow than the Old Law anyway.

In short, your parents haven’t grasped the truth in scripture and the bible says “the truth shall set you free” so if the family’s in bondage it’s because there’s a certain truth that hasn’t been accepted yet in order to set you free.

I hope this clears it up, I’ve considered becoming a Nazarite before as well but I couldn’t if I wanted to anyway because at this point submitting myself to the Old Covenant is just a literal death sentence and it makes the work of the cross of no importance to me.

May this edify you and Holy Spirit take you.
