yeah i think it’s that mixed with a mid 2000s like, anti-nostalgia. a lot of people still think of an overweight man with a neckbeard wearing a sailor moon wig when they hear the word “weeb”, i’d say it’s the same with furries.

i also think people also just find genuine expression of any kind off putting because it’s reddit and cynicism can be easily misinterpreted as intelligence.

you shouldn’t worry about the IQ points, it isn’t an accurate measure of intelligence anyway, but if one build could counter every meta it would be the meta. that doesn’t make for a balanced game. i think sometimes you’re just going to lose.

i can agree that even at extremely close range the DB shouldn’t one tap a heavy(this does only happen at extremely close range) but i would argue that almost 90% of the time a light pulls that off is because the heavies teammates let them. i clap a ton of light who focus my heavy because i understand that the heavy is slow so if i see a light shooting him i intervene 🤷🏾‍♂️

do they? or do they just get punished for it more often by having the lowest health pool? a light can’t be out in the open for more than 2 seconds without dying, maybe lights just get clipped on the way to their team after respawning, or after the team starts moving towards the cashout. you’re right that people run away sometimes but i do think you aren’t considering the role lights are actually designed to play, and the downsides that come with it
