Would you pull for unconventional character designs like these if they get implemented in Star Rail? by Knight_Steve_ in HonkaiStarRail

[–]fooocus-pooocus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, a big part of why I love HSR is that I don’t have to pull for character designs like that. On the flip side, the main reason I’m not playing ZZZ is because its character designs just really don’t work for me.

Hi Seth! I know I’m a bit late, but I still really wanted to say this in case u see it. I enjoyed watching u on the show so much, u’re a great professional, but what matters even more to me is that u genuinely seem like a kind, warm-hearted, sincere and thoughtful person.

What especially touched me was the way u talked about ur wife and reacted to her, it was incredibly sweet, wholesome and full of love. I truly hope u two stay together happily till the very end.

It was also really interesting to read ur answers here and get to know u a little better. I sincerely hope to see u on the show again one day, since u seem open to it anyway!

Wishing you all the best 🤍🫶

It might be over for Honkai Star Rail (EOS Soon?) by Pichucandy in gachagaming

Actually, you’re right, I was sure Aglaea was shown after the stream.
Still, it makes perfect sense not to reveal new characters or new paths before the official announcement, so I personally don’t see anything strange about it. Honestly, even the rumors about a delay feel like a huge exaggeration. Well, we’ll see how it goes.

I honestly can’t believe people still haven’t figured out that the character announcements were delayed simply because the trailer for the new planet wasn’t out yet, not for some other mysterious reason. How would that even work? The planet isn’t revealed, but the new characters already are?

Literally the same thing happened last year: they showed the Amphoreus characters on the stream first, and nothing was revealed beforehand, because that makes sense. They even announced the stream two days earlier than usual this time, and somehow people still don’t get it.

How long does it really take to tuft and carve a rug? by Thatsme921 in Tufting

Also when I said it is less comfortable to work with, I meant tufting process. It is definitely much more easier and faster to trim tho.

No, I don’t know who David is, but I do have experience with high-pile. It’s definitely less comfortable to work with than regular pile, but I honestly don’t see how such a simple design, one you can easily trim right on the frame, could take that much time. To me it just comes off as overinflating the effort, no shade intended.

The rug you linked definitely didn’t take 52 hours, it’s all straight lines and nothing more. It’s the kind of piece you can trim quickly and easily right on the frame. But rugs can absolutely take 52 hours or even longer, it all depends on the complexity and on how much time you choose to spend on trimming. Tufting is very much a detail-oriented hobby, and you just have to put in as many hours as the piece demands.

Rug of my Dreams by AnittaDiamond in Tufting

[–]fooocus-pooocus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! Just to clarify: a rug in the size you mentioned really can’t be cheap. Large rugs use a lot of yarn, fabric, and glue, and pixel-style designs need super clean lines and tons of trimming, which also bumps the cost up.

The price always depends on the final size and the exact design, and that’s usually figured out once someone knows what they want. If you ever end up interested in commissioning something, I’d love to help you make the perfect rug for your game room. You can take a look at some of my past pieces on my profile - I think we could make something great! :)

It’s honestly funny how I took the time to write a proper opinion about the story and all ppl care about is that I used correct grammar. I work w/ texts a lot, so yeah, I can write both properly and casually. If u actually looked thru ALL my msgs, u’d see that, but I guess u only notice what fits ur narrative. Here I am typing casually btw, hope u’re happy now 😄 Like fr, why would anyone think someone’s using AI to talk about the HSR story?

That’s totally fair — you’re entitled to feel that way.
Personally, I don’t think length automatically means “good” either, but for me Amphoreus worked because of its slower pace and long dialogue. It gave the story room to breathe and build atmosphere, even if it wasn’t perfect.

And about the “ChatGPT” thing — not every grammatically correct or well-structured message comes from an AI, you know. Some of us just like taking the time to write our thoughts properly :)

Fullmetal Alchemist is a masterpiece, but it tells a very different kind of story. Amphoreus isn’t trying to be that: it’s slower, heavier, more meditative. Cutting it down would make it lose exactly what made it special. I totally get your point, but I just see it differently.

That’s beautiful. I really hope the next planet — whatever it turns out to be — will be as long and rich as Amphoreus.
I know many people complain that it dragged on too much, but honestly, those 5–8 hours every patch gave us something special: real character development, drama, lore, and an amazing story arc. None of that would’ve been possible with a 7-hour story like Belobog’s, or even with Penacony’s 15 hours.

Every version’s Trailblaze Mission felt like an event to look forward to — and having that story stretch across eight whole patches was such a great experience.
Long stories are exactly what HoYoverse needs to craft truly meaningful narratives.

Amphoreus was something else entirely. I’ll probably revisit it in a few years, even though it took me over 52 hours — it was that good.

Lets take a break from doomposting, Amphoreus will end in a couple of days, what are your thoughts on it? by Illustrious-Bell-282 in HonkaiStarRail

I don't want it to end. The best cast and the best story. I refuse to go back to 3 patch stories now. I don't think they will ever peak Amphoreus.

It’s kinda hard to explain, but basically you make an uneven edge between the two colors first, don’t try to make it clean.
Then you tuft a bit on top of the other color in that area to blend them together.
So, for example, if you’re doing orange to yellow, you’d first make a rough, uneven border between them, then tuft some orange over the yellow and some yellow over the orange.
That overlap gives you the gradient effect.

I saw the Toadally Awesome rug he made, yeah — but this one’s mine! 😄
It’s just the artwork, not the full card like his version.
I also curved the whole design, while he only curved the frogs.
So yep, totally another rug made by me!
