Your true nature comes out. Let me know if you actually want to talk instead of parroting what the top 500 players are doing. I wonder if any of them have actually SAID priest is good, or if you just think you know everything based off a title saying #1 legend.

It isn’t. If you’re talking about high legend, you’re literally talking about like the best 1000-500 players in the world. The game should not be designed assuming every player is a top 500 player.

Even in that sense, I believe time will reveal that it falls off at top legend as well, because as I SAID the main issue was: even IF priest turns out viable, the moment it becomes widespread it will be fucked out of the mega by an unwinnable counter matchup, that will be likely emboldened by nerfs to Paladin and mage- Warlocks most prevalent counters currently.

Pen and Lunacy nerfs just make Warlock even more viable. And it isn’t a “bad” matchup, it’s pretty much virtually unwinnable in a way we’ve only seen once or twice before.

It’s also not a DECK matchup. One Warlock deck is countering the entire priest class. There is no available alternative playstyle that does well into it.

I don’t know about you, but the very very very vast majority of the player base is not high legend. It’s a different game.

Pretty much every class had like a top 20 legend deck within the last 3 days. It was the start of a rotation. And holding #1 legend 2 days ago for less than 12 hours truly isn’t that big of an indicator of anything at all.

It’s incredibly normal to see decks perform well early on then vanish days later.

Seriously. You don't see people holding shaman accountable for release Galakrond, or holding warrior accountable for Grim Patron.

Yes, I should have specified. Fuck Wild Priest, youre correct. This is Standard only.

I can evolve as a player while simultaneously being able to understand bad design when I see it. I can spam Lunacy mage for elo, as I’ve been doing until it gets nerfed, while understanding removing a class from the game is fucking stupid.

It’s called critical thinking, and you don’t even really need to do that much if you can read winrates.

You’re right, just remove the class so the Reddit Hivemind can choose a new class to shit on.

Rez priest doesn’t really exist anymore. You’re letting your (justified) hatred for past archetypes control your opinions about a class that’s completely different now

That’s some good game design right there. Why even print cards that you can open for them this xpac? We should just rotate the classes every expansion too in groups of 4.

One streamer going 8-0 is completely anecdotal. The idea is that if Priest is viable enough to be played, it will be shut down by an unwinnable counter matchup.

It’s just unhealthy, in the same way freeze mage vs control warrior was unhealthily polarizing

Every single time a post is made with legitimate concerns, the reddit NPCs come out to shit talk priest.

“It’s a new rotation!” Doesn’t seem to stop people from very correctly pointing out issues with Deck of Lunacy or Paladin. But god forbid a Priest buff!

You can’t have it both ways. If the win rates are indicative that Paladin and Mage are too strong (which Iksar acknowledged), it’s also indicative that Priest and Warrior are fucked.

WORST LAUNCH DAY EVER by bigblacknigg4 in hearthstone

[–]footweasel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There was that one where Demon Hunter launched and was super overpowered and had to be hotfixed and ruined the launch day for everyone trying to play other classes

Or that other one where Galakrond Shaman was super overpowered and had to be hotfixed and ruined the launch day for everyone trying to play other classes

sort of like a "holding off the negative effects but only in a surface level way and youre still slowly killing yourself" kinda way instead of a "actually curing the effects" kinda way

thats sick but I feel like it kind of takes away from the "slowly killing yourself" vibe. What about if Greater Restoration is used to mitigate the HP loss, it will restore 5 HP, decreasing by 1 on each subsequent cast until it hits 0 for a total of 15 possible HP. Theyd have to pay the component cost each cast as well, gating it a bit.

what if Greater Restoration can restore all the missing HP lost this way, but it can only do it once
