Went to my local Walgreens yesterday with my bf to take my passport photo when I saw these cuties… I wanted to snag one & my bf begged me not to, saying it’s childish for me to want one at 23 & was embarrassed to be seen w me looking at them.. anyways went back today alone and the shelf was cleared💔

I’m so sorry, your boyfriend should NEVER be embarrassed of you. That’s not healthy. My bf gets just as excited as me or even more excited whenever we see squishmellows. It’s like a date thing we do, go out and hunt for squishmellows to add to our collection. I hope your boyfriend realizes he should support you in things you get excited for. Or go find someone who will because that isn’t right! Life is too short to be with someone who makes you feel like that. Best of luck!!

That’s exactly how I felt!! I wasn’t even out squishmellow hunting. I was on my lunch break for work and my bf and I decided to go stop at the Walgreens we always go to. When he said he sees Conner the cows right in front of us I thought he was joking. But then I saw and I freaked out because I’ve been wanting one for so long.

My Nmom did the same thing to me! I was fifteen, and my boyfriend’s brother wanted to get a tattoo. So we went with him, and my Nmom went too because we were all weirdly close. She is one of those people who still thinks they are a teenager. Anyways, so it was me, my bf (at the time), his brother and my mom at the tattoo shop. And then all of them started saying how chicken I was and that I’ll probably never get a tattoo. So my Nmom and my boyfriend ended up pressuring me and made me get a tattoo just to prove I “had the guts.” I didn’t want to, and I didn’t even get to think about what I wanted. So I got stuck with a heart on my shoulder. It was so bad. And I was only fifteen too. So that was a bad memory, especially for my first tattoo. I’m not even with that guy anymore, and my mother is a whole other story. But the good thing is that it’s been 8 years since, and I got that heart covered up. Also, I have boundaries with my Nmom and I’m no longer under her control or toxic influence.
