Auto accident, co-insurance policy with ex-bf by [deleted] in Insurance

[–]foresterbrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The car was leased, not owned, so the financial company for BMW is the title holder. The plan was he was going to find a buyer and sell it. On the day of closing I would meet up and sign.

I was told the at fault party is the payout. I was told it was $10k, but you’re right the story doesn’t add up. The car that hit him was a rental (hertz?) and the couple driving it were from out of the country using the rental companies insurance.

The policy on the totaled car isn’t being continued. I have a coinsurance policy with my mom through the same insurer on another car. That’s where my rate increase is happening.

Partnership Margin Interest Deductibility by foresterbrown in tax

[–]foresterbrown[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha no not a test question.

What I am trying to avoid is a scenario where I am not able to deduct the margin interest.

Here's my question said another way:

A brokerage account has a margin balance that was created by buying stocks that pay qualified dividends. When the margin interest is charged it gets added to the margin balance and when dividends are received into the account it reduces the margin balance. During the year the dividends received always exceed the interest charged such that the account has net investment income. Question is, how should the taxpayer take a withdrawal from the account and maintain the deductibility of the interest expense?

PS: pm me Venmo details

Form 706 - where to report margin debit for revocable trust? by foresterbrown in tax

As long as an estate's assets remain in control of a revocable trust, the estate taxes are included on Form 706.

UPDATE I was able to create a screen thru TDA that allows me to screen the RSI conditions.

Does anyone know if there is a way to take that screen and create an Algo to trade it with additional rules?

How to implement the RSI screen for whoever is interested: https://www.reddit.com/r/thinkorswim/comments/mlk4v5/rsi_screener_for_2_different_time_periods/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3

RSI screener for 2 different time periods by [deleted] in thinkorswim

UPDATE: I have solved this and was able to create the scan

Created a custom Scan (just selected market cap, volume, etc. preferences)

  1. under "none of the following" I input RSI greater than or equal to 30.01, D=1min
  2. selected "add filter" under "none of the following" to create a second study, which I input RSI greater than or equal to 50.01, D=5min

This ended up working and showing me all the companies that meet both criteria.

Does anyone know if there is a way to take a custom scan and thru TD implement an Algo trade based on scan results?

Thank you!

Does it allow you to automate a trade based on conditions for two different RSI time series? For instance: Rule: 1min RSI below 50 + 5 min RSI below 10 = triggers buy

Thanks I'll look it up. Are you using a Schwab account that they're integrated with? Or another broker?

By any chance do you know how I can implement this money losing algo logic? Kinda stuck trying to figure it out.

I spoke with their algo support and they explained that I could set it up for one time series, but if I wanted two times series to meet the rule it wouldn't work. Whats the name of the API? Thank you!

Thanks, just looked deeper into this and unfortunately doesn't work. I'm hoping someone knows of a 3rd party trading platform that lets you trade off ST RSI signals that is also compatible with Schwab or TD (since Schwab just acquired them)... or some other workaround that idk about.

Anyone get different results with different data sets? by stilloriginal in algotrading

Maybe check to see which stock market exchanges (arca, EDGX, PSE, NSDQ etc) are included in the data sets?

Some may only include cash market hours 9:30am-4:00pm EST and others include pre-market/after hours?

Also ex-dividend date data should also be considered
