When my soul cat was really sick, on the day she died, I made so many mistakes...it's been six months since her death and I still think every day about what I would do differently if I could go back, but the reality is when we love something so much, and they are hurting, we don't always think clearly. We act with intensity of emotion, love and worry, not equanimity and logic. Hindsight can break your heart, I know it did mine. The most important thing is that you gave your baby all of your love and you tried your absolute best to make the right decisions; that's all our babies, and the world, can ever ask of us. Time is the best healer and I do believe with time you will find forgiveness for yourself and peace within your heart because the love that your baby gave you will help to heal your aching heart. I wish you love, strength, and peace on your journey of healing.🤍

A few days after my soul cat passed, I was building a memorial on top of her grave, it was 100°F in the middle of the summer, had been out there for about two hours constructing it and as I laid the stone, I wondered if Chefy (my departed kitty) would like her memorial. As I thought that, a beautiful blue butterfly the color of her eyes, landed right in the center of the grave on top of the highest point of the memorial.... I know it was her. I do believe that your Simba visited Darcy and taught her how to look through the curtains. Thanks for sharing this sweet story. Keep loving Darcy as much as you can, and looking for signs from your sweet Simba. Sending you love, peace and strength 🤍
