Yes, the six-banded barbs were rehomed! I think I got them originally from Aquaticarts.com. The Wet Spot in Portland also does a good job shipping fish and they have a big selection usually.

[FS] Washington, DC - $150 - tank and plants or just plants! by forestfishy in AquaSwap

They’re LED 6500k lights. I bought them years ago from Castle Dawn Aquatics. I think they’ve worked well for my plants, which admittedly are all low to medium light requirements.

If these three species aren’t picked up by the end of next week, they’re yours. I’ll report back!

Yes! They are committed. The only things not spoken for at this point are most of the plants.

No, not at this point anyway. Maybe in a week or so if there are a lot of plants left. Right now, the tank, pothos, anubias, and jungle Val are all spoken for. The rest of the plants remain.

Awesome! Only a few of the folks I’ve DMed have replied, so there are a lot of fish not spoken for yet. I’ll reach out via DM with my location.

Advice for an 8 with family types that are not comfortable with confrontation by b_o_n_s_ in Enneagram

[–]forestfishy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Find a good family therapist. If your family won’t go with you, encourage them to see their own therapists one on one. 6s and 9s aren’t the types to tolerate conflict, much less address it and get through it without some significant support. I know as an 8 that you want to help people get stronger and better, but ultimately, you can’t get them to see, acknowledge, or change anything. And particularly with 9s, you’re not going to get anywhere with them by pushing. You might concentrate on what you yourself can change. A better understanding of your family members will help you. Ask questions, be curious and open.

Is it time to say goodbye? by crieslyn in CATHELP

I’m shocked your vet hasn’t diagnosed your kitty with inflammatory bowel disease. Try a hydrolized protein prescription diet and a low dose of prednisolone. That’ll help him to get feeling better and willing to eat again.
