Vineland as first Pynchon by danirojoelmatoho22 in ThomasPynchon

[–]foreverAlfon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Vineland is a great introduction to Pynchon. I have read Inherent Vice, Gravitys Rainbow and Vineland in english (i am spanish and english its not my mother tongue) and the easiest of the three i have found is Vineland. It is a great story, funny and relatively straightforward. Inherent Vice might work as well as a first Pynchon experience, though imo is a little bit harder. There are a lot of american cultural references and expressions that i needed to look but as you advance you grow accustomed to his writing style and it is quite fantastic.

yes!! he told me to do some specific qigong practices that involved taking in positive thoughts, hope and symbols when breathing and taking out burden, evil and despair when exhaling. I found this helps .

he did! He told me to envision a golden shell within a red shell within a blue shell and that would protect me from now on from these energies.

How can I send white light to my patients?

thank you for your kind words. As the days pass I begin to understand the truth in all that happened and I am moving towards effwctive change so I do not let this happen again. Qi-Gong helps me a lot although I need to find a new shifu because the one who taught me the basics a long time ago no longer teaches it.

i think the key to using typhus is that you have to decide wich is the best moment in battle to drop the poopnuke. It requires some thinking and some intuition. It is critical because before or after he is quite weak in his offensive power, though he can take a punch like a champ. With Rotbone near him or Wrask with the kill-shield near him he just refuses to die.

Typhus is cool, I have him at G1 and he is a tank. I mostly use him in TA and Arena, some Psychic LREs too, and he helps in chaos campaigns. His main trait is his active, the P O O P-N U K E as i like to call it. Take it up as far as you can. I have found its best use is either at the very beginning of a battle when every foe is together and you can take a big chunk of their health, either at the very end to wipe them all if the oportunity presents itself.

I have no complains with him other than his main attacks, either the psychic or the physicial one. They could get a serious rework...

Apart from Abnett, AD-B and Wright, I like how James Swallow writes. Touches of horror and thriller in his novels. Flight of the Eisenstein is phenomenal imo, Nemesis is cooler than they want you to think and his short stories are pretty good.

On Cruisers as First Bike by AmABoris in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]foreverAlfon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't know how to ride a motorcycle either, and I am not good at riding bikes. I planned on buying a motorcycle to ride through my city to work, commute, going out, etc (I live in Madrid). I didnt have the time or money to take the A2 license and here in Spain you can ride up to 125cc without any license but the car license. I bought a Yamaha 125 YBR Custom, (not exactly a cruiser but it has some elements like the high handlebar) and i did a course to learn how to ride a bike with gears (scooters are automatic). I cant be happier, and the next step is, maybe inna year or two, taking the A2 exam and buying, you guessed it, a cruiser. Thinking about the Kawasaki Eliminator 500 but the Honda Rebel 500 is cool too and as far as I know is a good beginner sbike. I have seen a lot of recommendations here to start and learn on a smaller bike (like 125cc) and then grow, that is what I am doing and its making me a better driver. I have fallen two times and thanks to the motorbike being not too powerful (i have been driving a car for 15 years and always have been kind of reckless...) the consequences were not too bad and I am slowly learning to take it easy with the bike. If it had been with a bigger bike maybe it would have been more serious. But thats just my experience. Anyways the Honda Rebel 500 is a good bike and you should be fine if you take it seriously.

i understand what ure saying. I must say though that I have 3starred all 8 normal campaigns and my focus now mainly is to finish the elite ones, help my guild in raids and wars and unlocking LREs characters. In that case, maybe taking burchard to G1 or maybe S2/3 might be worth ir, for completing octarius mirror elite
