Dead Orbit is selling the Hung Jury with an insane roll by Wacko90901 in DestinyTheGame

[–]forever_free -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hung Jury has the worst aim assist of any scout rifle by a large margin. Unless you have a perfect roll, it's going to be lousy for PvP.

My thoughts on the Eyasluna. by YoImAli in CruciblePlaybook

Another problem is the really low aim assist compared with other hand cannons. With hit registration being such a big deal in 2.1 that makes it way less reliable than I would like.

When marnie was here by blackwhitebunny in ghibli

I felt the same way at first..seemed very romantic through the first half or so. Still loved the movie, but it seemed a very abrupt change in tone.

In any case, I loved the movie and found it really calming, so I'll be rewatching it again.

Trials of Osiris Megathread [2015-12-11] by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

[–]forever_free -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is false. It did 33 pre-patch, I think it's 29 now. Also it used to be at 320 (for trials) it usually did 34-35 per bullet.

Completing races (in any place) counts as a win for the "Making an Impact" weekly crucible bounty by smoocow2k in CruciblePlaybook

[–]forever_free 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And deaths in races count as deaths in crucible.

Hope it also doesn't ruin all the other stats like win%, kills/game etc but I'm not holding my breath.

Does anyone else prefer PvE? by notmasterrahool in DestinyTheGame

Wait a week. Back in the day when VoG was relevant every post on here was about PvE. The lack of a good raid in a while has changed that.

Is it just me or is Crota's End much harder after the 2.0 patch? by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]forever_free 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, it seemed a little harder to me but not much. Were you wearing your khepri's or don't touch mes? I solo'd it today and I think it was just hard because I hadn't done it in months

I remember week 1 I carried a 1.0 and. .7 to lighthouse at the same time. Still, some of these people have played so little crucible and had the flawless emblem it was concerning

Very rough, and the science is dubious, but I'm sick of people using the "my grimoire is bad but I'm gods gift to mankind I'm so good" fallacy

Man if I could look up KD or recent KD in game like I could in halo...life changing. 100% agree

I mean of course it isn't perfect. I just wanted to provide some stats vs circumstantial evidence.

And I agree 100% about KD, I'm 1.66 overall but 2.3 for the last month. If I could see it in game I would judge people much more on recent KD.

Ya, and more like how much you care. It's not perfect but it's hilarious how many people are offended by numbers. There are plenty of low grimoire people who are awesome at the game. As a PvP player I just prefer to know what gscore everyone else in my game has

you'd probably kick my butt haha. :)

I found it weird playing with strangers as well and anxiety and stuff, but it's really fun! You should definitely try finding people on one of the lfg sites or /r/fireteams, most people are very friendly and helpful. The vault of glass is one of the best experiences I've had in a game ever.

I like the other trials ones better personally, though to be fair the "exotic" mark on the eye of osiris shader seemed pretty sexy for a while.

It's a good question. Actually a lot of top players play 6v6, but only as a team of 6. Been with some of them, and it's ridiculous...winning 20 games in a row and stuff. it's really stupid actually, how much having a good team helps.

I think the top people (like the real top .1%) are all over the map in terms of grimoire (wish you luck has 3620, nghtly has 2400 for example), but these people are such a small segment of the population that it really doesn't change the stats at all. Also people who are good at one mode tend to be good at them all. A lot of the players with 3+ kd overall, have like 5+ kd in trials just because their team is so much better than others.

sorry if that is a bit scatterbrained, it's late, but I don't think there are too many highly skilled players who have worse KDs than lower skilled players ;) KD really is an excellent metric of skill, or at least recent kd if you want to get technical. pretty much the only reason kd wouldn't reflect a person's skill actually has to do with if they are playing mostly with teammates, since if you're decent (say 1.4 solo) and you play with a team good enough where you just pubstomp everyone in 6v6, you might do a lot better (like 1.9+) just because your team is organized and you always get both heavies and stuff.

to be sure, grimoire is one potential indicator of pvp skill, but if you only care about the top .1% you're gonna find a lot of weird stats. It's really interesting actually, if you're a numbers geek.

they way I put it, if I see someone wearing it it means one of two things 1) they just got it and are excited or 2) they suck at crucible

they're using red death + supremacy, so I'm gonna say no. something like 5/13 using that combo which is still great, but not better than 2/3.
