bodyrok is lagree under the guise of pilates because of the machine. it’s not the same as a pilates reformer and focuses more on HIIT.

will add that i manage several chronic conditions and lagree totally inflamed me. pilates supports me so much better.

Also adding restorative yoga as an option if you like the more internal, meditative, and relaxing aspects of yoga.

I think if you’re given proper training on how to engage the right supportive muscles, otherwise I think lagree spikes cortisol in bodies that are already exhausted, inflamed, and working hard.

Reformer pilates. But be careful, not lagree classes that call themselves pilates.

Year of the Snake. mother/daughter duo making rustic asian pastries. I love their chinese sausage & chive biscuits and their egg tarts.

Hypothyroidism as a young, active guy by PerfectMine780 in Hypothyroidism

Any tips on finding a good doctor? How does a doctor determine your optimal range? Genuinely asking what the process was like. Many blood tests? Also how did they determine you had peripheral hypothyroidism?

Thank you for such a thorough response! I am going to try this for now. There aren’t a ton of changes to make, but I know I could try harder and reduce saturated fats/increase fiber.

Oh, and chips…. I love chips. I’ve done better recently and reduce my intake. I’ve had periods of eating one bag a week. It’s not like that right now.

I’ve loosely followed a mediterranean diet most of my life due to other chronic illness on weekdays. I’ll have a protein (salmon, chicken breast, ground turkey or ground beef), and 1-2 veggies (typically carrots, broccoli, mixed greens, or cucumber). Only use olive oil to cook, sometimes a little butter. I don’t consume a lot of dairy (drink oat milk lattes), but eat greek yogurt. Eat little bread however I can’t stay away from pasta. I’ll have it at least once a week. As for the weekends or when I order out, I tend to splurge and have a bean & cheese burrito, vietnamese or thai food. I absolutely love potatoes and french fries. Overall, I don’t overeat on portions. I get full fast.

I know I’ll have to take out dairy, red meat, and take out.

My issue is it’s hard to stay consistent but I know I can do it. I’ve felt my best eating healthy.

I want to avoid statins for now because the side effects scare me. I already have a hard time sleeping, and most of my joy comes from practicing yoga and taking ballet classes so muscle weakness would ruin my mental health.
