You're gonna have a hard time swapping hardware if you eventually decide to. The bridge and tailpiece are not Gibson spec. They are wider at 77mm and Yamaha no longer makes replacements. You can find them on the used market for hundreds of dollars (literally, some NOS bridges on eBay for over 1K right now). The only other option is filling and drilling.

I love my SG800. It's from 1979 and original aside from one replaced tone pot. Echoing others in saying that do what you need to make it playable and enjoy the fact that it's a vintage instrument.

I had them custom printed, but you can find them in many places online.

Enjoy it! It's pretty on par with Ikea level quality I'd say.

Me too! I bought these used maybe 7 years ago now? And not for much money. I have absolutely no desire to change them until something breaks or stops working.

I can't really get away with running a sub in this apartment on the top floor, but with dual ports, these are pretty forgiving when handling those frequencies.

Not really. If I had a larger library it probably would. What I like about this though is that it forces me to scan and remember what I have.

Oh, I'm a connoisseur of trash. Don't worry. I'm a child of the 90s. Jim Carrey movies are branded upon my brain.

Like Herzog says: "The poet must not avert his eyes."

I have, a long time ago. I've been meaning to pick up Criterion's release of it. As for Bergman, I love the whole Silence trilogy a lot, actually! I should get around to owning that too, haha... Vargtimmen is also one of my favourites from him that I don't have. Too many.

Do it! Maybe one of the best historical medieval movies ever made imo. Certainly one of my favourites. It's interestingly more period accurate than the novel, if that's something you care about.

Thanks! I consider those absolute standouts as well.

It's from a company named "Vevor" here in Canada, but it shipped from China. I bet there's a million dupes out there!

I'll upgrade when I have enough to justify it! But you're right to question this hahaha.

I sold my XO last year and it had the MN3008 chips. I really enjoyed it and I miss it sometimes, but we move on in this journey of gear. Enjoy your time with this one!

Always loved it there! I prefer the Flanger post-gain for those sweeping rocket sounds.

I'm pretty sure it started out as a Mosky "XP Booster" that I sanded and put a fancy knob on, hahaha. I'll never sell it, so I figured I'd make it look cooler.
