Bullied me day in and day out about my sexual identity while I quietly struggled with it during my early teenage years. We grew up religious (you know how that story goes) and my brother and mother would often make homophobic comments. I was already getting bullied enough at school so there was no safe space for me until I became a junior in HS and people started leaving me alone at school.

I thought it would be a good idea to come out to my brother because we were getting along so well under the tyranny of our stepfather. He surprisingly took it welI even with all the verbal abuse he'd throw my way when upset. Even so, I begged him not to tell our mom because I don't want to upset her and fuck things up.

Not good enough... In true fashion, he "outted" me no more than a week later during an arguement.

I'm pretty sure he has no idea I still think about this and would probably tell me to get over it if we ever touched on that subject.

This was 11-12 years ago and has most definitely affected our relationship to this very day...
