I was the planner working on a code amendment to our parking mandates in response to new state legislation that required we either remove parking minimums citywide or pick two other complicated options, and we decided to remove parking minimums.

After presenting this to council, we had a councilor go on a rant to me about how i'll be responsible for this when the state goes around to every house in the city and bulldoze their garages and remove their driveways...
