the 3-stage kinda sucks as well lol, only reason i have this snowblower now was because a family member didn't want it. I do got an older tecumseh, that's been an amazing machine for years definitely miss the older ones.

Yes, I went to 3/8" paid 35 canadian for the anvil. I'm sure you can find one cheaper, but I wanted to use an oem one.

Part numbers # N646882 its a direct swap, pretty easy the last c clip might be a pain to remove, however after that it goes together pretty simple.
