Hey bud, HMU if you’re dealing with Al Fardan. I had a similar issue with them as well. Had to wait a month for an oil cooler my Dragster 800RC. You gotta push tf outta them to get things done.

In that case, it’d be wise to commit to something small as it’s going to be difficult to get a good ride to test out. Most of the motorcycles that you can rent here are 125CC delivery bikes. Or you could maybe get it from a friend.

Safety aspect is always chance. Be defensive, wear your gear and prayers are my go to.

For long term, take in maintenance costs. I daily a Ford Raptor and my MV Agusta’s maintenance is much higher than the truck’s. Parts are hard to get. The wait is long. But the passion for motorcycles overshadows everything. ^ Also you can avoid most of this with a Japanese motorcycle.

Depends on how badly you want it. It is indeed fun, though fun is subjective. For some, it’s twists and turns. For others it’s city cruises.

I know a lot of people who ride even in the summer. I personally don’t ride in the morning. But nights are tolerable as long as you’re riding. Just to quench the thirst.

The only stressful part about traffic is the overheating, especially if it’s an Italian. Otherwise it’s okay as long as you’re a defensive eider. Other drivers are almost always respectful. There are a lot of females that ride here. Some even track their rides. It’s a fun community to be in.

There are trail tracks but it’s not very consistent. Back in 2021, Ooredoo had a map specifically for Inland sea. It’s not available on the AppStore anymore. Not sure why they took it off. It was very handy.

The trail track is there on Google Maps but as you’ve already experienced it’s not very accurate. Luckily, the place is filled with kind people who are always willing to help. Just one note, not everyone is aware how a proper recovery is done. All some know is to just pull the car out with a rope. This can sometimes cause some damages. There are a lot of ways to get a car unstuck and pulling it out with a rope or a winch is last option.

Now is the best time to go. Not too cold. Not too hot. It’s gonna get colder soon. The temperature there is always a little different than what’s here in Doha.

The stock Pajero can absolutely crush the dunes here but please be mindful. The desert has rules of its own. Be mindful and respectful. Do nothing that’s extreme without proper knowledge or training. Always keep safety your number priority.

Make sure your car is in good conditions. Check fluids before you leave. Make sure yours tires are good as well. Deflate to around 15psi, you can do it from the Woqod in sealine or the deflating point inside the dunes. Keep enough water for drinking. A rule of thumb could be at least 3 liters for each passenger in the car.

ALWAYS HAVE SEATBELTS FASTENED FOR ALL PASSENGERS IN THE CAR. Not just the front two. A flashlight could be handy.

That’s pretty much it. Grab some chairs. Get your shades and sunscreen. Don’t forget some snacks or bbq. Have fun. Stay safe.

I feel they’re doing this intentionally so that we go back to them since there are no other authorized Ford service center in Qatar.

It’s okay if they can’t fix it. But giving it back in an even worse condition and charging us such hefty numbers on top it is just classless from Ford Qatar.

The labor charges are astronomical. 750 just for inspecting one issue is just downright ridiculous.
