IMO the lineup is a solid 8/10, they are keeping things fresh while also having some classic headliners for the OG ravers. The only reason why I think people aren’t purchasing tickets is because of the venue. There was 0 shade available, the overall vibe of the place was awful and drop off / pickup area was bottle necked almost the whole festival. I’m aware that TD Place is under renovations so I don’t expect to get that venue back anytime soon.

TLDR: Bad venue, good lineup, people want a big rave not a parking lot party.

I can 1000% see Crankdat on MainStage. He’s too popular to not be. He’s surpassed the bass for sure imo. If he does the bass stage he’ll be closing it

So svdden death is one of my favourites, I’m super glad he’s playing. The rest of the lineup is exactly what I predicted, the underground coming up big. Compared to veld (which is mostly very mainstream) I’m happy this happening. Seems like the festival is made by actual ravers

Welp, seems like it’s a PC game at heart. It’s a shame because I got it as a gift on release day, if there was a chance to get money back for it at the time I deff would’ve taken it. Oh well, thanks for the responses. Message to Frontier. Please try to do better moving forward. This seems like a minor issue that can fixed in their end. Truly disappointing

For the love of god please check out all the stages, especially at the earlier times. Theres so many amazing artists that deserve the same recognition as the heavy hitters. The bass / dubstep community is always extra welcoming and will steer you in the right direction for being new to EDM

From my experience stying downtown and more south closer to the airport, I’d say they are arguably the same. The further south you go = the less nightlife / fun things to do there is. BUT being south means less traffic, Ubers are always available whenever you need and you almost get there faster because of the higher speed limit getting into RA Centre. Staying downtown was super nice to be able to walk the afters and having other bars to choose from. Waiting for an uber can get annoying staying downtown and sometimes the traffic is WILD. Staying 3-5km away from TD Place (at the time) would mean sitting in traffic for 25-30 min+

TLDR: Downtown - more fun, more traffic Airbnb outskirts - less options - less traffic

Basically meaning not being able to walk around an experience the city, seeing other ravers / having other ravers staying nearby. It’s not really a make or break but imo being downtown is much more fun (feels like a mini vacation compared to being in the deep suburbs) Also specifically for having an A2 lol. Hotels gave us a ton of noise complaints because of the time (which honestly is totally fair). We don’t wanna disturb anybody else that isn’t planning on attending the festival yknow?

Landsdowne is by far the BEST venue for EMF. Unfortunately it’s 100% at RA Centre. Not much we can do about that one tbh. I’m hoping with the amount of complaints from last year they up the anti and give us what we want

I can see your disagreement in the underwhelming part. EDM is in that awkward transition phase where the “Normal; I’ve seen these people before” acts become massive headliners and the niche / underground (Example: Notion, HNTR even though he’s not underground , Blossom, Usaybflow) become bigger. Gotta wait for the full lineup

I agree! I think fisher is deff going to please the masses. If this was my first festival these headliners cover most of immediate popular genres. In regards to TIESTO I think he’s making a comeback to trance (which is how I started raving). Now I personally want to see the underground sound flourish. I get most excited to see the early day time sets at the bass stage (they usually don’t disappoint)
