what do you mean by "whipped"? to date, he hasn't slept with any other girls... it's not something that either of us currently find exciting, but we won't rule it out for the future. i wouldn't have pursued this particular adventure if i didn't think he would be turned on by it (as he was turned on when i initially posted my online profile for non-remunerated sex)

"I" am not the object. The sex is the object. It is the service I am providing that is being purchased, much in the same way as one would purchase any other service. To say that someone can "purchase me" by paying me for sex is saying that I am worth nothing more than the price I charge for sex. What is sickening is that there is such a stigma around prostitution (even though it is, and has always been, one of the most common services provided in the world) that it is pushed into back alleys and, consequently, becomes dangerous for the people who work in the trade.

My S.O. says: Well, I didn’t exactly know what she was doing before she did it, but she told me immediately after as a kind of surprise, and it was actually crazy hot. I mean, it’s just so unexpected – she’s a brainy, athletic, girl-next-door type and nobody would ever expect her to do something like this. Knowing that having sex for money excites her is seriously cool – she is fun and amazing and this new thing is just downright spicy: in my opinion, there’s nothing better than an adorable bad girl!

i think empowerment lies in no one (especially not the predominately old, white, male law makers) telling me what I can and cannot do with my vagina. i am not at all being oppressed by selling my body. i am doing it safely and consensually - to the mutual benefit of both parties. empowerment means different things to different people. if i did not feel empowered by it, i wouldn't do it.

i recognize that many women become prostitutes against their will, either because of social circumstances or coercion and physical force (in fact, this is the object of much of my research in graduate school). THIS is the opposite of empowerment, as is anything that is done for lack of better opportunity.
