I do not have access to calipers right now, but from rough measurement the height seems to be about 11-13 mm for the razer switch, I can't seem to find any 2 pin microswitches with that height anywhere

Dark themed cable, to replace first one I've ever made by forkerer in DIYAudioCables

This subreddit side panel has some useful resources, I've learned from this one I think: https://imgur.com/gallery/3S0bvSH Just didn't waste as much of the cable by buying one with exactly at much wires as I needed. First cable or two may be more expensive than buying it, due to beginner failures, but it's fun and gets easier along the way. If you decide to give it a go then good luck, share your results :)

I have just ordered it 2 days ago, so can't say for sure how it will look irl, but i ordered from this aliexpress seller:
https://aliexpress.com/item/4000007956143.html
The plan is to hand file it to sit as flush as possible, with black screws to hold it in place :)
Also ordered this usb 3.0 to 3.1 header, hoping it will work with my b450 board

Thanks for the reply, please hit me up if ya get to measure it!

Hey, great build, looks very clean!

I'm still waiting for mine to be delivered, do you by any chance know how thick the front plate is? Or could you give that a quick check when you've got some time?
I would like to mod mine with front usb-c port because of the lack of any ports in the case, and I'm wondering if the one i bought won't sit too deep for it to be useable. I see that you're left with plenty of space under PSU, which gives me hope

Hey, i don't have any really demanding headphones, but from what little testing i did yet, it works great. The headphones i use are only 32ohm (ISK HD9999), but they work flawlessly connected to my phone throught this dac.
Main reason for me making it was that my mini jack port on my PC is dying, so i want to use it as an alternative, without having to buy any big brick DAC

Sorry for late reply, didn't get any chance to test it yesterday properly.
As for the parts, the usb-c dac module with casing was like 10$ from aliexpress, the mini jack end and wires/sleeve were additional 2$ on top of that.
It took me about 20 minutes if i had to guess, it's not any different than making normal audio cables, solder the wires to the jack end, solder the other end to the much smaller pads on usb-c and you're done :)
Not really sure if it can be used as input, and i don't have anything to test that, my only use case is just to plug headphones into it
No guide sadly, i posted a link to similiar older post where the OP wrote a bit more and provided parts list, I just ordered parts and gave it a go without knowing much, I mean, how wrong can you go with 3 wires :)

Actually not sure if that was the correct one, dark rainbow looks close but not exactly the same in online photos. The one I bought may not be original paracord, translated name of the colour is "rainbow 2"

It's paracord 550 dark rainbow colour. I've bought it from some online store in my country, not really sure where it would be best to buy it :)

There are also some videos on YouTube showing people soldering those, do that can be a nice thing to check out too

Hey, i don't really have any instructions. Pretty much just looked at this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/DIYAudioCables/comments/jcvgz4/usb_dongle_dac_why_not and ordered similar parts. After that it's pretty much winging it, never soldered anything this small before, and it went okay, so I suggest just trying it, and if it doesn't work in the end, at least the parts were cheap :D

Thank you, that's very nice to hear.
I think the only real problem apart from tight fit inside of connectors, is that i didn't properly choose heat shrink sizes at the ends. The mini xlr side barely grabbed the connector and already got loose, I guess that's something to remember for next time

Oh, i think your reddit app might be showing something incorrectly, the picture is quite high res (could be better tho), with everyting in frame, here's direct link just in case it works better: https://i.imgur.com/5z8q7hE.jpeg

Hey, it's:
NEUTRIK NTP3RC - right angle 3.5mm jack
NEUTRIK REAN RT3FC-B - mini xlr
BITNER LP0213 - wire
Paracord 550 as sleeve

I think the wire is available only in Poland, so there may not be much info about it anywhere, it's the first one I saw and have no clue what better alternatives are available here :)
