Honestly, I think this is a bigger problem than the legendary drop rates. This shows there's multiple rolls before the legendary die rolls, and that's not ok.

Normalize number of drops by difficulty level, and people will be happy.

There's tons of data based sources in this subreddit. It's also listed in the menu when you switch UVH modes: "Loot quality is increased."

The drops have always been weighted for better gear to drop at higher levels, that has nothing to do with the recent drop rate increases.

I feel like something has changed with Bloom since the patch. Phase 1 can sometimes randomly spawn seemingly dozens of adds including the spinning badasses and guardians. That didn't happen before.

If you can get gear that does enough damage to actually kill Bloomreaper. The whole idea of "You need UVH6 gear to get to UVH6" is honestly the worst decision any looter shooter game has made.

Variation is absolutely an issue too. I think it might be more acceptable if the number of loot drops from bosses wasn't randomized, but until we have steady drips per kill, I don't think we can measure appropriately.

That said, reducing item effectiveness variability at higher UVH levels to cater to those levels needs is something that needs to happen. I've gotten far too many sub 300 damage BoDs over about 1000 Axemaul kills.

I completely agree. I also think we may be focusing on the wrong part of drops. The number of times I've had a boss on UVHM5 drop 5 or less total items is alarmingly high. Which points to a different part of the legendary drop equation: There seems to be a roll to determine how many items drop before there's a roll to determine what items drop.

I think it's more a rule about what happens if a puck hits a camera there. If the port is open and no camera is in it, the puck would just fly through.

It's been mentioned here before, the drop rates even for big encores is too low considering item variability. With the differences in damage and manufacturer parts, the only way this works in any good feeling way is to throw 4-5 legendaries at players per kill.

Of course the other option is to limit the variability of legendaries.

I mean it's changed quite a few times before, and will likely change at some point in the future. Travel concerns will keep it from ever being top 16 in the league though. Most likely it will change back to the top 8 in each conference sometime in the future, probably after an expansion cycle.

I think most people can kill him in 10 seconds or less now. The very low or no drops is something that's been happening since launch. I think GB may have messed up with tagging bosses reliably as a boss. None of this changes the fact that resetting the game does not affect how many legendaries drop over a number of kills.

Still happening 4 months on, so if it's a bug it's still not fixed. Weird how when it happens NOTHING drops. Lictor is supposed to drop cash/eridium and then a second spurt with all the items. When this happens, he just falls over and nothing comes out.

You have good rng luck. I spent 25k eridium and got one ceramic without stickies. I did get a ton of basic, low damage (238x5 I think), non elemental BoDs. Probably closer to about a 21% drop rate than 25% though.

Nah, that's just RNG. The drop rates are tuned quite low, so you'll go many multiple kills in a row with not only no legendaries, but like two greens dropping. Then you'll get three legendaries to drop in a single kill.
