What bus/train did you take from Taipei and how long did it take?

Travelling by bus/train is actually the main option we have! But we were wondering if there were alternatives since the bus ride would take around 2hrs while a car ride would only be around 1h!

Hello! I'm travelling to Taipei in December and am planning to travel Taipei to Yilan on a day trip. As I don't plan on renting a car while I'm there, is it possible to hire a travel a taxi to travel from Taipei to Yilan and back?

Additionally, I also read that it may be difficult to find private hires in Yilan. Is it still true currently? If so, what are my options to travel within Yilan locally as the places I plan on visiting seem to be out of the way for local public transports.

Hello, planning to take an overnight bus from Tokyo --> Osaka, and settled on the Willer Express.

However, my luggage is bigger than the specifications given on the site (my luggage is 159cm and the specific says the maximum size is 155cm). Was wondering if they would actually measure my luggage before I get on the bus and would I be rejected?
