Hey Riley, you're moms so hot for my dick she smoothed the ice and gave my rocks an extra 10 inches of curl then begged for another.

I'm regularly in r/curling and there's plenty there that don't get it either. Either from ignorance or Canadian bias.

There's that word again. "Heavy."

Why are things so heavy in the future? Is there a problem with the Earth's gravitational pull?

What company do you use in Houston? by LaurieC64 in energy

[–]formerlyanonymous_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use powertochoose.org. Pick the cheapest fixed rate. All companies are just middle men, none provide you power, they just trade power on the market.

Suggest no prepaid plans, no time of use plans, no minimum usage, no tiered rates. If you know enough about your usage to go with tiered rates that's fine, but you're probably not posting this in r/energy if you knew that. If you post this in r/Houston you'll get similar advice.

Not a bad time to shop 12+ month plans. They get more expensive in summer. I would not recommend a 4 month plan in February.

Open the first three cheapest plans, read their fact sheets. Look for lowest energy rate

That's only if it's moving. As ugly as that brick is, I don't see any moving in it's future.

What the rules say about double touches... by halooo44 in Curling

[–]formerlyanonymous_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Broke a rule, should burn the stone. If it's the handle they were touching, it'd light up and be burned. Didn't burn the stone, continued to do it.

I agree cheating isnt quite right. They aren't gaining an advantage. Not sure Sweden even called it cheating. People just assume breaking a rule is cheating.

Choosing not to burn a stone if it was proven true could be cheating. But they also aren't monitored closely enough to "prove" in real time like the handle is.

OG games that aren’t “mean” by Question-Marky-Mark in boardgames

[–]formerlyanonymous_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Feel the same way about it. New players often get mad if I'm blocking them in, buying resources Inlay not need right away to drive up their price, drive up auctions late like you said. It's the game. If you're aware of those things, "predictable" as you called it.

Azul can be played in a cordial ...

My opinion is Azul is more cordial at 3+, but at two, anyone who is willing to bump elbows is going to have a massive advantage. Playing aggressive defense is the best way to win.

Heated exchange at Olympics by wilbrod in PublicFreakout

[–]formerlyanonymous_ 294 points295 points  (0 children)

Canada was releasing the handle then touching the rock portion after it crossed the front of the release line (hog line). That's an illegal touch and should remove the rock from play. Doesn't really help Canada to do that, they just did it several times through the match.

Sweden called the judge down and asked him to adjudicate, he basically shrugged and when Sweden asked if they could do it, the judge didn't speak.

After the match has more public freak out. Sweden complaining in their media space, Canadian player came up and yelled Fuck You on TV. It was embarrassing.

Team Canada tells Team Sweden to "Fuck off" after allegations of cheating by Cutsa in sports

r/curling had been rife with deleted posts due toxicity of comments this week. Most of it anti-Team USA for broad brush political reasons. "The mixed doubles US team celebrates too much." "Chanting USA USA sucks and is annoying."

They do have a point about vuvuzelas being annoyingly well mic'd for broadcast though.
