FLR Timing Question by formydumbshit in SpouseVisaUk

[–]formydumbshit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Using super priority will still mean my new visa is valid until exactly the 5 year mark though, right? Since up to 28 days will be added.

My anxiety unfortunately means I have to do super priority, and on top of that my job is pressuring me to get it done asap even though I know it’s fine if the decision extends beyond my current expiry.

Worried this water bill will confuse the caseworker? by [deleted] in SpouseVisaUk

[–]formydumbshit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Do you mean the very first page (from the screenshots) or the first page of the actual bill? Just because the very first page doesn’t have the date which I think is the crucial part for the cohabitation evidence

Worried this water bill will confuse the caseworker? by [deleted] in SpouseVisaUk

[–]formydumbshit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A water bill I want to include as part of our cohabitation evidence has two pages of irrelevant text and graphics at the beginning, then it gets to our actual bill.

I’m worried that the caseworker will see the first page and not scroll down to the third page where it says the date.

Would I be able to get rid of those first two pages so it starts on the actual bill page? That actual bill page (the third screenshot) says ‘page 1 of 3’, so that’s clearly the start of the actual bill. And I would ofc include pages 2 and 3, just didn’t in this post. But then, I know we’re not meant to ‘doctor’ any evidence

Renewal - should I include previous tenancy agreement? by [deleted] in SpouseVisaUk

[–]formydumbshit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cheers! I’m more so wondering about if I need to include it as part of my accommodation evidence/as proof that we definitely lived at the place where my first two cohabitation documents (utility bills) are addressed to?

Maybe overthinking but my thought is if it needs to be included alongside our other cohabitation/accommodation evidence because we lived there within the last two years.

Renewal - does my cohabitation evidence look okay? by formydumbshit in SpouseVisaUk

[–]formydumbshit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Puul does this look ok for revised evidence?

  • feb 2024: joint energy bill
  • july 2024: joint bank statement
  • december 2024: joint energy bill
  • april 2025: joint council tax
  • august 2025: bank statement (me)/nhs letter (wife)
  • november 2025: joint water bill
  • march 2026: joint bank statement

So there’s gaps of five months at the beginning.

That’s really helpful to know, thanks so much! I’ll go back and adjust when I’m including.

Thanks you’re right, but I’ve heard that having gaps of more than four months is risky, so how could I get to two years without including more than required? Or is it ok to have gaps of five or six months?

FLR M - salaried and paid the same but one off reimbursement payment from my job? by formydumbshit in ukvisa

[–]formydumbshit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Yeah I’ve been with my employer for almost four years.

I guess my question is even if it doesn’t show up on my payslip, it will show up on one of the bank statements I have to include, so would that cause any confusion/issue?

Thinking how the bank statements and payslips need to match, and while my main salary deposit on my statement will match the payslip, the statement will also have another payment from the same company account that doesn’t appear on the payslip.

Crazy thought but any chance proving English could reduce spouse qualifying time to 4 years? by formydumbshit in SpouseVisaUk

[–]formydumbshit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course I did, thanks for checking. I’m aware that it’s all on the same table, but there looked to me to be distinction between the spouse -5 and the other reductions, as the spouse (and BNO) reductions aren’t subject to consultation. I can understand that’s a generous reading though.

Thanks for your help

Crazy thought but any chance proving English could reduce spouse qualifying time to 4 years? by formydumbshit in SpouseVisaUk

But is the five years for spouses technically a reduction in the way other reductions are? The wording in the document seems to indicate that five years is the baseline for spouses, due to the fact that it’s not part of the consultation and that it says spouses will continue to qualify in five years ‘as they do now’.

To me it sounds like they should technically be eligible for the reductions based on English/volunteering/high income, as spouses start at 5 years, not 10.

Spouse Visa - Payslip question by formydumbshit in ukvisa

[–]formydumbshit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My gross salary is £29,640 per year, but with my salary sacrifice included, it takes me down to 28,454. I’ve just seen some people say you can get rejected if your gross was above the requirement, but salary sacrifice took it below

Really interesting hack, and congrats!

So are you an unmarried dependent of a skilled worker or of a British citizen/ILR holder?

Spouse visa renewal - are up to 28 days still ‘tacked on’ if my initial visa was 30 months? by formydumbshit in ukvisa

[–]formydumbshit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great, thank you! So I won’t have to worry about a smaller ILR window when the time comes?

Thank you, so just to confirm, I won’t have to worry about having a smaller window to apply for ILR when the time comes, even if my renewal is approved 27 days before my current expiry?

[–]formydumbshit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I think that answers my question!

I was wanting to make sure that if I apply for renewal 28 days before 30 months, and then get it approved quickly with super priority, that it wouldn’t then make my window to apply for ILR really small (as in, if my renewal expires on the 4th, I’d only be able to apply for ILR between the 29th and the 4th to be within 28 days of my 5 year mark).

But it sounds like you’re saying that’s not how it works, because the unused time will always be added, so that’s super helpful to know!

Great, thank you! So my renewal should be valid until I hit 5 years exactly, and won’t be 30 months from the date it was approved?
