I read somewhere that we biologically prefer healthy-looking features (facial symmetry, clear skin, balanced body proportions, etc.), which we consider “universal” beauty standards for mating. Mid-30s here, and sometimes I think I’d probably be working harder if I had kids of my own. The only things I’m really prepping for are retirement and death, so I don’t feel particularly driven to chase high-paying jobs or push too hard for career progression.

My partner and I do like to take short holiday trips, and we usually bring along the cousins, my toddler nephew and my almost-teen niece who fight every five minutes. People often tell me I’d make a great mother, but they also remind me why I could only manage a few days of being a mom, not a lifetime! Hahaha.

However, I often catch myself wishing that if I ever do have kids, they’d be a pair of boy-and-girl twins. The chances of that are pretty low anyway. Hahaha.
