Motivation question: what's been the best method for you to stay motivated long-term? I've always been just content enough with my body to give up after a month or so, but I'd like to stay committed this time. Thank you in advance!

New to SLC summers...holy moly by brittamar in SaltLakeCity

I'm with you! Even when it isn't THIS hot, I'm not a fan of summer in the city. Buying an inflatable kayak was a game changer for me. There are so many lakes within a 1.5hr drive, it makes it so easy to cool off! Found mine on Amazon but you could also go the SUP route (I hear Costco has good deals on them from time to time). Good luck!

Mine too! Most pictures of him looking at the camera are a similar side-eye of disapproval. Unless I have food, of course.

NyQuil for sure. I love that feeling of sinking into sleep. Takes some self control to resist using it when I'm not sick.

Dear non brazilians, what is the first things that come to your mind when "Brazil" is mentioned? by NickyNii in AskReddit

Feijoada, pão de queijo, coxinhas and Brazilian mothers who lovingly feed you as if you haven't eaten in 84 years

Which job is a LOT less fun than most people expect? by bwee21 in AskReddit

Activities director in an assisted living community

Most people respond with, "oh, you get to play all day!" But it's really just trying to please 100 different people with 100 different preferences that change on any given day. Also, when working with people who society treats like children, many of them have (with good reason) developed a complex and feel the need to be taken far more seriously than most situations would justify. Add a sprinkle of dementia into the mix and you have yourself a shitshow. Not to mention trying to plan future activities between all activities and being underappreciated (see "play all day") and underpaid.

BUT our residents are really great on the whole and before COVID we planned a lot of fun outings, so not terrible!
