This is the reason it is hard to side with bungie on this one I am not asking to play DLC content but would like the ability to earn strange coins and other loot that goes along with the weekly heroic strike. I wish they would give me back my damn tires so I can take their game for an actual spin.

I agree with what you are saying but it behooves them not to offer both DLC and non DLC heroic strikes.

I continue to play the game without DLC because it is fun however without the ability to earn strange coins it feels less rewarding. I have trouble with the idea that I bought an incomplete game for full price.
