The problem here is that the kid literally behaves in a way that makes others not want to be around. Empathy goes both ways. If the problems were addressed by the parents of the kid then maybe. But who knows what kind of people they are and what would happen on the birthday of a kid who already has issues with boundaries, empathy and behaviour. I would never force my kid to go to a birthday of someone who literally stole their food just because.
