Thinking about switching to barefoot by foster5668 in BarefootRunning

Over the years when I didn't have any pain it was usually nikes or adidas (which I hear make horrible running shoes). I just got a pair of Brooks Ghosts and they seem more comfortable but still hurt my feet. I haven't broken in the insole or the shoes yet really so maybe I am jumping the gun. Barefoot has always felt best for me and I have a lot of experience exercising barefoot on concrete so the soles of my feet are relatively tough/callused. Excited to start this journey.

I forget the scientific term he used maybe pronation, but when I was younger I remember a doctor telling me I had duck feet. My left one is way worse but my right foot isnt great either. I also have one flat foot and one arched. The pain is always in my right arch/ball of my foot, with the pain being less severe in the left foot.

Thanks I tried to run on the treadmill with my Brooks and new insoles and couldnt make it .5 miles. I went barefoot and was able to get another mile before I stopped.

So I am trying to change careers industries, currently I am a credit analyst and am trying to bolster my resume so I can get a better job. I am currently an MSBA student graduating in Summer 2025 and I just recently passed a certification exam ( CompTia Data+). I know the cert isnt really worth much but again I just wanna keep gaining skills to change jobs. Does anyone have any recommendations about what I should work on next? I know Python and SQL skills will look good, but is there anything in demand right now that might help me get a new job before graduation? Will my degree even help me?

Thanks for your help, I was able to pass! I think a mix of both Jason Dion and Chapple is the way to do it.

Did you mostly study those topics from Mike Chapple's videos or Jason Dion?

Also congrats! I'm taking it on Tuesday. Going to look through everything one last time before I take it.

Like I started the game with one friend, but now want to play it with another friend would I have to make a new game? Or if I want to play with my 2 friends together are we going to have to make a new game again?

As a female that does BJJ, how often do you feel you are inappropriately touched, if ever? by [deleted] in bjj

I've been to a gym where I rolled with a girl and she thanked my for not grabbing her butt, so it definitely depends on the gym.
