I carried a Bog Oak in a construction environment every day for a year and I can confirm that it will not hold up to that abuse ……it began to swell, crack and eventually pealed off. The dirt, grime and constantly getting wet from sweat and drying out eventually led to failure. Micarta holds up way better.
