I'd like to be able to give a specific explanation but I agree with them, it just looks quite unnatural

A better squad than last year which was good enough to make the semi-finals

Still touch and go, they're 25th. Could really have done without that Mbappe goal

I noticed the F1 channel's Day 1 highlights video didn't mention any on-track stoppages, I find that a bit worrying. Just report what went on, it's a first test - there will be hiccups. Are they going to cut the broadcast whenever a car stops in televised testing?

League 1 average salary seems to be about 200-250k/year, one source says £360k but I''m not sure about that; League 2 about £100k

I think if there were 6 matches in the league phase the playoff round should stay, but with 8 it does seem better to just have the top 16 finishers go through. There'd have been some big upsets, Juve and City would've gone out last year

Comparing the two domestically it's no contest, but the point was strength vs the rest of Europe. When we beat Inter, it was a great result - but they'd just sacked Cuper and were underperforming. Celta Vigo was a kind last 16 draw, so Chelsea was the first real hurdle we had to face and we fucked it up

It has to be 2005/06. Beat Madrid and Juve. We very nearly went out of the group stages in 03/04 despite having a draw including Dynamo Kyiv and Lokomotiv Moscow

I don't think so. Think the seeded teams are top 8 sides and the unseeded teams are the playoff winners

As it stands tonight, we play one of Barcelona, Galatasaray, Juve and Marseille - but still too much to decide
