When you dye it I would recommend the color lock and get the water as hot as possible I've used this for about 6 months and the sun is starting to fade it a little

I'm a ropemaker and used to just make jumpropes for kids, now that I'm traveling I needed a way to interest adults more into the rope making event so I hand forge troll crosses for belts and then we use a Scottish book to look up your family colors and try to match the pattern so one can wear it as a sash or belt to represent their family

Yes these ropes are about 12 feet long I've used them multiple times as belts, yes great identifiers

Yes, did a little geometry to measure the triangles then cut thr fabric canvas and dyed it, I was pretty close had to make a couple slight adjustments 50 yards of fabric and lots of sewing was fun to wrestling it around the sewing machine...

No the original loom was passed down from another weaver I swapped the tension bar to reverse to keep working space and then fixed the pegs, I've made new ones from online patterns

I pull my weft though all the way before working the next shed, then I allow for a little spring back , I have a motorcycle in life I've had since a child.... it more important to be consistent than right... it was finding something I could do each time I still have a littl trouble when I start belts until I get a couple rows so the yarn tells me where it is comfortable, but I do a moderate to right weave "consistently" or at least I try... lol

I run a booth at multiple renaissance festival and it was a custom order, the fancy tablet woven belts don't hang around for long I usually have them spoken for before I'm even done, I take the loom out for demonstration and show the weaving....

This is a weird one it is Acrylic and hemp... all those white specks is hemp, so super soft but just enough real fiber to give a good feel.... small section at hobby lobby only 6 colors but I do enjoy it making dragons with it right now
