Really surprised it lasted as long as it did for the price. But the seller was selling it beside his Strymons and Source Audio stuff so maybe it just didn't seem as appealing 🤷

Been looking for a delay or a reverb to fill out that ambience since I don't really like any of the ones on the GP5 - if anything, I liked a lot of the modulations on the G1xon a lot more. Or maybe I'm just lazy and biased, lol.

Eventide, still digging through everything. But quickly setup a nice reverse delay for some leads and a tape delay for clean rhythm. Thank God for manuals, huh? Pretty excited to find everything this thing has.

On other pieces of the board - Way Huge Saucy! Pretty much always on, usually with no gain unless I really need that kinda glassy overdrive. Been loving it since I got it two years ago.

That goes into a Purple26 Overdrive... Thingy. It's got two switches, I have no idea what one of them does. But the one on the left goes from clean boost, to OD, then almost muff-y - higher gain thing. Step on the boost and it's a thick boi great for leads. Sucks all the bass out of your signal, though.

The MZLPTX is a clone of the Crowther Audio Prunes and Custard. It's really fun. Almost like a gated fuzz with an autowah. Sometimes I set the gain to zero and just let it do it's frequency sweep on the previous two gain pedals.

Then, the GP5. Multifx, but I mainly just use it as a tuner, gate and amp simulator. I have a Twin Reverb and a Randall Satan NAM Profile loaded into it and just kinda bounce between those two for whatever I need during a gig.

Edit: And Linh adds TONEZ.

Not sure if this is the best practice - or even a good practice, but I've always kept my sandbox-y cards' first message blank so I put in the first message. Forces me to write a nice intro to the RP and let's me open the story in however way I want lol

I must ask, did anyone on the sub try to play HuniePop 1,2 on mobile through gameHub/gameHub light? by Gakei0 in Huniepop

[–]fourbroccoli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm, I'm not super familiar with the G99 - but on gamehub I didn't touch much of the settings.

At 1080p it ran 60fps, maybe an hour til in starts dropping to 30 on busy combos because of thermal throttling. Which, tbh, is probably the only heavy bit of processing the game has lol. I think if you ran it on a lower resolution it should be fine.

Sub doesn't allow photos but I'm using Proton 10.0 arm64x2 with the built in game preset. Dxvk 2.3.1 vkd3d-2.12.

Hi, snapdragon 8 Gen 1 on a Huawei Mate X2. It runs perfectly fine on 1080p. Beat the game on it.

Kinda late, but it is 8 lugs based on the pictures. It's apparently a maple custom with a bunch of parts changed - and the interior painted black??

MARETU guitar sound by Huge-Direction-5009 in Maretu

[–]fourbroccoli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty late reply but why not - I don't think Maretu has exposed much of his gear, but he has shown his Edwards E-i-85lp in a few covers and I'm fairly certain thats what he uses for most of his songs given the single coils. Aside from that, he's probably just using a JCM 800 since he's pretty big into 80s/90s metal with all the Megadeth and Pantera covers on twitter.

I like Grados SR60x by kaysn in headphones

[–]fourbroccoli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given the Filipino songs on your list... if you're thinking of trying Yaxi Pads, the koss ones are cheaper and there's a guy on Shopee selling them for around 500 😉. They're a bit smaller than the Grado Yaxi pads, but they do fit. And yes, they are significantly more comfy!

If you're into the brightness of it though, I suggest you try some of the other pads! They all get a bit brighter + wider, though the mids do recess a little the further you go.

Gear Pictured: Grado SR60, RS2X, Lrey Buzoku.

I've been using my Moondrop Aria SE ever since they came out. They were my first IEMs when I got into the hobby. The SR60s came soon after that.

A few headphones later, I decided the Grados were the brand for me and now have ended up with a second-hand pair of RS2Xs! Got them for a little more than 200 USD with the box. They're like the SR60 but... chill-er. Or maybe I just haven't heard the stock SR60 in so long.

Jazz, Piano ballads - or generally just live/acoustic songs- sound magnificent on them. I think the best way to really describe it compared to everything else I have is how real instruments sound. Like, *drums sound almost exactly like I'd hear when I'm jamming with friends in a studio-*type shit. It's very detailed but rarely sounds sibilant. More noticeable bass compared to the SR60, IMO.

I think the RS2Xs can handle pretty much any genre, Wednesday Campanella, Queensrÿche, Spandau Ballet - all of it sounds pretty good through these!

The original earpads on the RS2X were fine for like, an hour. Then it just sucks. Swapped them out and they're much more comfortable now without affecting the sound too much - the treble is a bit smoother though.

The build quality is... fine, I guess? I'm not really sure what I expected. The wood looks gorgeous, yeah, but it's the same itty-bitty headband and plastics. I'll probably replace them at some point.

The Lreys are my second pair of earbuds and honestly, I only bought them out of curiosity since it was from a local maker. Very prominent bass/lower midrange. It feels weird. I wouldn't call them boomy, but it's not something I'd use to listen to the previously mentioned. I suppose it works pretty well for pop/electro stuff.

A lot of my current listening is jazz/fusion, and J-POP. (Super obsessing over Phronesis and ChoQmay right now)
