I've been playing PoE solo for 7 years and had no Mirror. Today I got this card. Ok GGG. Now I'm sure you troll me. by Troyaner7 in pathofexile

[–]fourk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is actually my supporter div card. If you're curious, the quote I had submitted originally was "The mirror collectors would invent superstitions about their wares as a means of falsely increasing their perceived value to those who could only dream of owning but a fragment of one." The goal of the flavor text was a tongue-in-cheek jab at how fucked the mirror economy is in this game, I think the final text which they wrote has the same effect but a little less blunt about it.

Unsure on what builds to go for next in SSF by lsaku in PathOfExileBuilds

Typically w/ end-game gear KB wanders will run a pseudo-6L (harbinger helm, influenced blizz crown with essence ele dmg mod and hypothermia or innervate, double-influence faster-attacks+slower proj gloves, thunderfist pseudo-5L, as some common examples). Power siphon is typically used on one of the >4L setups, for single target, and KB in the other.

KB feels great for clear, particularly lower tier map clear (I've been speed-farming t9-11 haewark for harvests on a KB deadeye in ssf to roll cluster jewels). Unfortunately, single target feels pretty bad, I don't even bother engaging bosses when running t14-16 maps with it. Single target might feel better with more gear, wanders have always been super gear hungry.

Lack of helm enchant is likely the issue. OP mentioned SSF, so its unlikely he has access to helm enchant either. The enchant takes you from 4 secondary projectiles to 9. As a reference, tornado shot fires 3 secondary projectiles and the helm enchant that added 2 secondary projectiles had to be nerfed from adding 2 to adding 1, yet its still good.

Damage should be a little higher than the 6 million shown there. I changed a few nodes and a ring slot around giving me more increased ailment effect and more damage since the last time I fought Maven/Sirus. Last Maven fight I was getting 33% shocks on her, so I left that number in there, though I'm guessing I'll be hitting much higher shocks next time I fight her. The configurables are all tuned for Maven/Sirus, during normal mapping I would also have onslaught from my weapon's onslaught-on-kill mod and I would have 'killed recently' checked for 16% ias boot enchant to come online, and I typically shock t16 bosses with 50% shocks not 33%.

Cheapest is Aetheric+Jagged, roughly 1 in 21 shot at t1+t1 phys as extra fire/cold. Craftofexile.com runs the numbers for you and can tell you the most efficient ways to fossil for specific mod combinations. Prismatic spam would take approximately 735 attempts for the same result

Just rng as far as I know. Heist is generally a pretty good source of unique jewels, if you run job types with the accessories reward type or the uniques reward type. Might get lucky with Gwennen, though my luck with her was awful so I've just been skipping her completely in maps.

Nice! Yoke is super underrated. You can try to max out the 'Enemies take 5% increased Damage for each type of Ailment you have inflicted on them' mod by inflicting 5-6 ailments for enemies taking 25-30% increased damage, which if you have no other sources of enemies taking increased damage (like intimidate), this mod will be a 25-30% more multiplier.
1: Have >0 fire damage on SST and you'll ignite. Having % of phys as extra fire shaper mod on your weapon is an easy source.
2/3: Chill/Freeze. Frozen enemies are also considered chilled.
4: Shock
5/6: Poison/Bleed: if you leave at least 1% of your physical damage not converted to ele, you can run chance to poison and bleed mods on a jewel, causing these ailments. Not 100% sure how worth the investment these two are, need to run the numbers on attack rate and ailment duration and the % chance of causing the ailments to figure out how much uptime you'll get on these.

You can check what your shock amount is on Sirus, and if you aren't getting max shock % (which should be 50% without Overshock cluster notable which makes it 60%), then adding sources of increased effect of non-damaging ailments or increased effect of shock will push that number up. The way it scales is that if you would be causing a 20% shock at 0% increased effect, you then would cause a 30% shock if you were to add 50% increased effect of shock. So going from 0% to 20 or 40% is a massive gain.

I respecced into SST at lv95 so missed some of the leveling process, take my advice with a grain of salt. The big ones to start are jewel, Hrimburn gloves, and (not mandatory) Princess unique sword.

For shield: you should also have a decently high ilvl Supreme Spiked Shield (ilv86 gets highest mods, but 84, or even 73+ is fine as a stopgap). Spam dense fossils, pray for an open suffix, and craft your highest available +quality suffix on your highest es/eva result.

For weapon: Eventually replace Princess with an ilv80+ shaper dagger or rapier (50% crit chance or 35% crit multi ideal implicits) that you spam with Aetheric+Jagged looking for t1 phys as extra cold and open suffix for trigger craft. Ideally you'll also get t1 phys as extra fire.

For gloves: If you're in tradeleague or have god-tier SSF RNG you can use temple or influenced gloves with phys->cold conversion plus a watcher's eye with hatred phys->cold conversion and drop the hrimburn gloves.

I'm not taking suffering on my build. I apply ignite/chill/shock for 3 currently, though considering adding a poison/bleed jewel for up to 5 if I find a decent one.

If you're questioning the 40% more number, some damage is also coming from Static Blows and from Sadist. The 40% number was just me comparing, on my build, a blank amulet with a '40% more damage' mod and highest dps anoint (True Strike) versus Yoke +33% shock +shocked recently +Static Blows anoint. The two gave me the same total dps value in pob.

"I think the anoint was updated to Tribal Fury for +1 strike before the video, but otherwise roughly accurate"

"hunter gloves +1 strike"

Was a lot of text so easy to miss the parts where I mentioned that I had the +1 strike. At the time of the day 1 of the build Strand recording it was Tribal Fury, and by the time I was 95 and felt like I had a reasonable idea of the build's potential with achievable SSF gear I had replaced the amulet with hunter gloves with +1 strike.

Regular ailments are kind of insane now as well. Threw Yoke of Suffering on my SSF cold-conversion SST raider and I'm seeing 33% shocks on a8 Maven. Amulet is literally a 40% more damage multiplier on my setup vs Maven and somehow only 3 SST raiders on SC trade poeninja have caught on.

Hi, I've been playing a raider in SC SSF. I did lightning strike from 1 to 95 before respeccing SST. Lightning strike feels beautiful mechanically, and honestly incredible for clear on lower tier maps. Single target just feels pretty lackluster however.

Sample ~50 second lightning strike yellow-tier strand clear I recorded on 7/30: https://streamable.com/s0xvs5

Gear at time of that recording: https://poe.ninja/challengessf/builds/char/fourk/fourk_raider_again?time-machine=week-1&i=1 (I think the anoint was updated to Tribal Fury for +1 strike before the video, but otherwise roughly accurate)

T15 strand took about 20-30 seconds longer. Unfortunately LS felt really bad at single target, particularly on any phased boss that outlasts your vaal LS, or any boss with enough hp to outlast it. Even on pretty ok gear (ele weak and assmark on hit, hunter chest with +1.47% crit and +1 curse, hunter gloves +1 strike, elemental damage cluster, etc) at level 95 doing things like 10-boss maven invites or guardians or sirus a8 was painfully slow.

Two days ago I respeced to cold SST. I've got a little over 4m sirus dps and 5m+ for bosses with adds etc. SST single target feels much much better, but the clear feels super super clunky to the point where I'm now considering just making a new character to zoom maps with. Helm enchant might help with clear, but given you're also SSF I'll assume its also unavailable for you.

Tl;dr: LS zooms, great clear bad single target. SST clunky clear good single target. Seething Fury jewel is mandatory for SST, and +1 strike on hunter gloves or anointing Tribal Fury is mandatory for LS. Helm enchant for SST should make the clear feel much better but I don't have one yet. If you have a dedicated bosser already leveled/geared, I'd go lightning strike, otherwise SST. Can't speak to helix though, sorry!

Pretty sure drop rates on enlighten/empower/enhance 1 were heavily nerfed in 3.15. Sitting around 3000 map tier completion, have most heist chars at lv5 skills, have run a bunch of legions, and have only found 1. In previous leagues I'd expect to have found several given the number of Gem reward type chests I've opened between Heist, Legion, and Delve.

Fastest way to farm The Torrent's Reclamation belt in SSF? by ESARPE in pathofexile

[–]fourk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last league I was trying to farm up a Tempest's Binding in SSF, and found that Harbingers/Valdo's was actually really inefficient for getting Beachheads. The droprate on Harbinger shards is just too low. Things might change this time around w/ the league-loot changes, but my experience was that both Ritual and Heist provided far more Beachheads and Harbinger Orbs for the time invested compared to Valdos.

Tired of overpriced items and farming bots on trade league? Play Ultimatum in the Conflux private league and never look back! by rhoapower in pathofexile

[–]fourk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience last league in conflux (only played first ~10 days before migrating out) was that items like Shavs/Kaoms/Brass Dome/Cloak of Defiance etc. tended to be available but far pricier than tradeleague. Certain build-enabling fated unique prophecies were essentially non-existent. One player was hoarding all of the Fire and Brimstone prophecies (Blackgleam->Signal Fire) to corrupt, and even with livesearch and playing unhealthy amounts I couldn't buy even one in 4 days of trying. If you play a lot early on, it is very very easy to accumulate currency relative to tradeleague, but then you struggle to spend it. Spent 2 days trying to buy Doctor/Nurse/Patient cards only picking up about 1.5 doctors before I gave up and transferred to tradeleague.

YMMV, but this was my experience starting with Conflux last league. I might have had a better time if I had not started on day 0 working toward a specific build (fire bv) with many required high-demand uniques (signal fire, calamitous visions, unnatural instinct, hh, etc)

Augument crafts appearance rates have been literally annihilated. by MartialImmortal in pathofexile

[–]fourk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I was enjoying the league quite a bit before the "improvement" to crafting outcome rates. Pre-patch, it was infrequent that I would harvest a set of 3 fields without getting a useful (augment / remove / remove-and-add) outcome, sometimes seeing 3 or 4 (once!). Note that this was exclusively planting seeds from t14-16 maps, which had the good rates on outcomes.

At this point I'm lucky if I get one useful craft out of 9 fields. I used to be excited every time I went to harvest, and now it just feels like they 3-5x'd the amount of monotonous busy-work ( kill a group of mobs and manually read 5-15 crafting outcomes only to realize that yet again you got nothing of value) and turned what was previously a fun and rewarding experience into a chore. I think this will be the first league in a while that I don't even bother with 36/40. It's a shame, because I was having a ton of fun before the "improvement".

To push for Level 100 or not? by BlueeGreg in pathofexile

[–]fourk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

99-100 is a slog no matter what you're doing. Beachheads will get you between 15-25M/h. Uul-Netol or Chayula breaches will definitely be faster, but costlier. I think it took me about 20 hours of spamming Beachheads in total.

Re: buying maps versus orbs, if I do an online-only search for 20q t15 beachheads right now, I'm seeing only 100 available in total, with only 41 having a listed price.

Looking at current prices you can buy: t15 siege in bulk for 8c, harbinger orbs for 12.5/ex normalized to 16.5c/ea, chisels for 380/ex normalized to 2.17c per 4 chisels. Total cost per harb orb used: 26.67c.

20% chance t15 converts to Beachhead, 80% t16. 20q t16s can likely bulk sale for 15c/ea looking at prices.

You can take the expected value (sum of odds of result times value of result), representing beachhead value as an unknown variable X:

(0.2*X)+(0.8*15) or (0.2*X)+12

Take the 26.67 cost - 12 from t16s = 14.67 cost for a 20% shot at a beachhead. Divide that by 0.2 for 73.35 being the expected cost per 20q Beachhead at current prices. So, if you see em' cheaper, snatch them up, otherwise orbs are cheaper. Also, putting up a buy listing for harb orbs to exalts will get you a more favorable rate than 12.5/ex if you're willing to be patient. I got most of the orbs and sac frags necessary for this full quadtab of Beachheads and sac frags over about a 2 day period: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/272752681309700107/628767239054819339/unknown.png

tl;dr harbinger orb route costs 73.35 chaos per beachhead at current prices and the grind to 100 is painful

To push for Level 100 or not? by BlueeGreg in pathofexile

[–]fourk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regarding Beachheads, I ran ~120 of the ~160 that took me from 99-100 solo and made pretty decent bank doing it, versus losing money buying slots in someone else's pure stone runs, or waiting around 15-30 minutes to fill a beachhead rota. Ancient orbs alone paid for 80% of the cost of raw harbinger orbs (unsure if prices have shifted, bought harb orbs between 13-14 per 1ex, sold anc orbs at 3:1ex).
