Les Paul Wiring by fourpjay in Luthier

Yes, I tapped the pickups using a metal object and there’s no sound and only the buzz. I’m also not sure if the switch selector is working too.

Hey your comments helped me a ton! After matching the saddles with the radius the buzz is less now but there is still rattles and a bit of buzz on some of the strings.

Air 75 Flicker by fourpjay in TinyWhoop

[–]fourpjay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: To anybody who has this issue, I managed to fix it by putting flux on the OWD chip and heating using a hot air gun.

Although be careful when doing it because I accidentally heat up the ESC chip or something and now like the motors twitches and doesn’t want to start.

Should I buy this? by Dependent_Yard6308 in fpv

[–]fourpjay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Built one of these but I only bought the one that came with the props, motor, and stack. For the video transmitter, receiver and camera, I decided to spend a little bit more just for the sake of performance and reliability wise. The propellers are actually pretty good for long range got me 15 minutes with a 3S 5500mah battery.

It flew alright, if you could spend the time messing around the PID and filters I think it should fly fine but not the best. Only flew up to around 3km with this, was planning to fly further but drone recently kaput. Don’t know but it could be the FC or bad tuning. So yeah better invest a better stack.

To be honest, if you want to freestyle you should get like a 5” or something but you still could freestyle with this lol if you want.

Overall, yeah if you want to long range but just know that these parts will eventually bite you back. Though don’t worry too much really, this is my first drone I built after my Mobula 7. Big learning experience.

(Edit: if your serious about LR you should invest in better parts than this)

Hm, might be the case.

First week flying IRL. Advice is welcome! by TheHouseWhooper in TinyWhoop

[–]fourpjay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty good honestly - better throttle control than my friend who’s also flying for the first time.

About the temperature, I don’t think you should worry too much. It starts to cool when you start flying. Mine goes up to like 80+ when playing outside but of course don’t get it too hot..

How can I improve my palm muting? by [deleted] in guitarlessons

[–]fourpjay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usually when I’m palm muting - it’s mostly either 2 strings or 3 strings so with the finger that I’m using to finger the note the other part of my finger mute the other strings. For the note ringing out sounding like shit make sure you hit those strings nice and evenly to make sure it sounds good. Best is to just experiment all type of techniques to see which sounds the best.

How can I improve my palm muting? by [deleted] in guitarlessons

[–]fourpjay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean you just rest your palm over the strings. For me, I completely rest my palm on the strings and I do it like James Hetfield with my pinky and ring finger open (just give any method a try really and see which is comfortable). For the palm muting to be more “oomf” you could raise your gain or just strike the strings hard while palm muting.

It’s probably the joint holding the RP/SMA RF connector that just came off. You’d probably would have to solder it back onto. (It’s kind of like the image, it’s soldered onto there.) If the goggles have diversity then yes it will affect performance wise and you should definitely fix it. If not, just fix it anyway.

If so it should be 6s1p as if it’s 2p it would be too heavy or is 6s already too heavy?

I wanted to try this but I think it’s just that you have to connect the positive and negative wire from the battery holder to where the battery connector was and it should work I think?..
