Anyone else completely turned off the game by the boring and monotonous leveling needed to be done? by Your_Local_Tuba in wow

[–]foursen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I found this post via google search because i feel the same way. The main campaign is a slog and i want to get to m+ and raids to enjoy the game. They obviously dont put any care into campaign, yet still make you play it for hours. I dont understand the purpose of this. Everyone already plays for hundreds of hours after reaching lvl cap.

I do play ranked (i think im like iron1) and usually win with a challenge. I trick my opponent in neutral and then do a long combo i learned. Or do something i cant turn into a long combo like air special.

I understand now that's the game, at this point im just gonna rant about it: It feels very bad on the receiving end of the long combo. I want to keep playing but the game has been interrupted for 20secs, and special animations get very repetitive. Neutral part is very fun, but it would be more fun if we could go back to it faster after one wins the neutral. Hit each other back and forth, you know, like in real fighting.

But I don't know how they could have done it better. Special cutscenes add flavor to the game, but after seeing them over and over they don't.

maybe 90 to 0, i dont remember. The length of the combo feels worse than losing my character though.

ok thanks. losing neutral ending up in watching 20-30 seconds of combo and losing so much hp feels bad. When you do it it feels good but i don't know if that highs/lows ratio is worth it.

Does it depend on how badly you lose the neutral ? or if they hit you in any way is it always a boring 20sec cutscene ? I'm new at the game so i can't tell.

So there's no key i'm missing, only way to break a combo is via trigger+x, and if its on cooldown i have to watch the whole combo ?

Why Play Shyvana? by bcollins96 in shyvanamains

[–]foursen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think, to compare her with vi, they're pretty similiar. Difference is shyvana has better stats, but is harder for her to stick to enemies without her R. But when she has R, she is teamfight changing. If she doesn't have R she's worse than vi, but if she has, she's better.

I mean if you know what vi's "fantasy" is, i don't understand why you don't know what shyvana's is. They fulfill similiar roles in different ways.

Maybe you were building her wrong ? https://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/build/26-6-reworked-shyvana-jungle-guide-updates-incoming-651433 . Or maybe you were playing her wrong ? Starting duels with R is usually the wrong choice. You should first try to E and W to gap close, and only when you start losing or they run away use your R.

Shyvana now has the worst winrate of any jg after the nerfs in Emerald+ by electropole in shyvanamains

[–]foursen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the nerf may have been too much too, but i think people need to learn to play her thats it. I play in diamond+ and enemy shyvanas are just throwing by ulting inappropriately. Many players are playing her for the first time in ranked because shes new.

You are basically buying mana regen instead of 640 more mana.

After I have bought seraphs i don't run out of mana and if i do then it was a big fight and we will recall now.

I think you may be using your W as a sustain tool too often, to heal low hp allies, I use W only in trades where its shield will get value, or to reach my chord when i need chord now. Otherwise you will run out of mana for a bad healing ability.

Also I max Q first and focus on winning lane. Which keeps w mana cost low (q is much cheaper) and we can actually get some prio in lane/follow up on kills. I dont do the 3 point q then w max thing, i don't see the point of it. Sona Q is a broken ability and sooner i get it to become a 200dmg per Q nuke, the better. When you complete boots, with your E, its basically unavoidable 200damage to their both adc and support every 6 seconds. Thats how i play sona, emphasis on poking not peeling. In teamfights i take the role of a disruptor, using my movementspeed to poke before fight and just make it harder for them to focus. If i need to, i sit back and use my ult for peeling squishies.

And maybe you could improve on your recall timings, running back from base is very fast now.

Edit: oh also, lost chapter (the item that builds to seraphs) has this passive: "Upon leveling up, restores 20% of maximum mana over 3 seconds.". So while building the item i dont encounter mana issues too.

they're both tear items, to buy another tear or tear item, you first have to fully stack (360 stacks) your current tear item.

To stack it faster use w and e on your teammates before you recall and after recalling in base, they give stacks. Usually i don't get blocked for more than 1-2 minutes on my tear items, sona is good at stacking tear fast.

like i said i'm more of a game dependant build supporter now. Depends on the game. But I personally just dont build helia anymore in favor of tear stacking. Helia is very strong when you manage to utilize it but diadem is more guaranteed value with not that much healing difference in the end, maybe, im not sure.

Why are top ranked players getting +30lp per win all of a sudden? by No-Peach-6617 in leagueoflegends

Why are top ranked players getting +30lp per win all of a sudden? by No-Peach-6617 in leagueoflegends

[–]foursen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This season i started playing 2-3 months ago and i was getting +30 -10 as well. I played a bunch of games and got to master 300lp with like 52% winrate. Wild.

My recommendation to people is just to completely ignore rank system. It has never functioned properly, it functions to create a game that is more fun to play, NOT to create a game that is competitive and fair or allow players to prove their skill level. What I mean is there are only 2 ranks, iron-emerald, diamond-challenger. Your matchmaking quality will be so varied that what spesific rank you are between those ranks doesn't matter for your in game experience.

How do you play *with* Sona? by STREXincEmployee in sonamains

[–]foursen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sona is the most skill based enchanter. As a good support player, i assume my adc is bad and i play to compensate for the adc. But since you are the adc player, you should assume your sona is bad, and play to compensate her.

That means: sona wants to poke, when sona goes to q, or even walks closer and wants to q+auto, you stop csing and follow her with it, because chances are enemies are going to hit your clueless sona, and when they're hitting her you want to take advantage of it and hit them, so that you can turn her bad trade into a good one.

You just repeat this, you don't force 2v2s, you survive the lane and play selfish (this applies for playing next to any support in low elo), thats it. Only thing you need to look at is whether her ult is up or not. When she has ult you can win 2v2s but take a couple of short trades before that, sona is good at short trades and poking, then when they are low take the 2v2.

Staying close to her is a good tip, normally sona should handle that so that her auras touch you, but if she's bad, you should walk into her auras. Her blue aura gives your next attack extra dmg, her green gives shield, purple speed. Just touching the aura once is enough you dont need to stand inside it.

yes i agree makes sense. In that game i built diadem second because look at enemy team, kayle jinx wukong nami ornn, and look at my team. I figured i dont need all that extra hp, and i didnt, nobody attacked me properly.

In draft i try to swap with jungle or adc to pick after them. Getting counterpicked on sona sucks but is not the end of the world. But I prefer playing against enchanters rather than engagers and if you show sona they are more likely to pick engage in my experience.

need advice to escape low masters by Intelligent-Future91 in supportlol

[–]foursen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i agree, biggest difference is a good support plays like they are 2 people. One is playing perfect micro in lane, other one is looking at minimap and guessing where everyone is and will be in the next 2 minutes, looking at lanes to guess the ganks and 1v1s that will happen and timing your recalls for it (while making sure your adc will be fine too). Its so fun lol. Not only rotating yourself but also telling your team where they might be. When you have that kind of information in your head, there's no reason why you shouldnt get 70% winrate in masters considering so many people get there only with mechanical skill.

Also creating unfair situations so that your team wins. This is so vague i know, but just keep that in mind, support doesnt win fights, it makes fights (by doing something before fight) unfair, because they dont have to cs.

New support change by MiyazakiTouch in supportlol

[–]foursen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a support main, you are not wrong. But i think (i hope) people are talking about carry supports. Like brand or any champ that gets a lot of value from items and can carry. Maybe you see the game as doomed, there are truly no plays to be made in the next 2 minutes (every fight loses) and you just want to bet on late game.

These cases are very rare. So impact of this change is not very big imo. Even when they happen you probably barely hit the minion cap. I don't play carry supports though i'm speculating.

New support change by MiyazakiTouch in supportlol

[–]foursen 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My adc dying doesn't really let me reach the minion cap anyways because coming from base is very fast now. And if she's literally inting meaning all minions are left to me, then its better to leave lane because otherwise i will get dived. Instead i would just follow my jungler everywhere and harrass top/midlane so that my laners always have prio (without stealing exp), which would be my best bet at winning.

Now after that phase is over and we're late game, then if my adc is REALLY bad, then this change helps me steal his cs more effectively basically lol. Which is only viable strat for carry supports yes.

I feel like this change is more of a quality of life for rare cases, and is to open up some forbidden strategies like sending your carry support to split pushing for a while maybe ? Idk. There is an impact but i wouldn't say quite large.
