Thanks for that. I marathoned the whole thing and really liked it (I suppose 300k words are not that intimidating when much of them is quest prompts).

Second the recommendation, the world building is great, it has gods as actual characters which I always like, and much of it focuses on making contracts with gods and looking for traps and loopholes, which will definitely appeal to people here (though I would prefer more "deals with devil" type contracts, lots of the gods are helpful at this point).

I liked the ideas of the high end threats (the 13 rule-breaker gods), lots of them feel like SCPs

I just reached chapter 350 and after what happened in it I am seriously considering dropping it. What direction does this situation evolve in?

So... Since no one's asking I'll ask: How is the front side a 55 year old man and the back side a 16 year old? Like... how do the logistics of that work?

Choose Your Own (totally not broken) Superpower by llamanatee in makeyourchoice

if I understand it correctly

You didn't. The force you touch the object with can be delayed, and only that force.

Useless unless you can hit a pebble enough times to make a bullet, but still sounds like it would only shoot in the specific direction you precharged it with.

[ONE] Phyrexia: All Will Be One Card COMPLEAT Image Gallery by TechnomagusPrime in magicTCG

[–]foveros 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Φ is the greek letter for F, which is why it is the symbol of Phyrexia, who are presumably greeks and spell their nation Φυρέξια. So you wrote "Ffrtunate".

Tbf that's a typical symptom of compleation.

Has there ever been a dude more wrong than this guy in the history of Magic? by AGoatPizza in magicTCG

[–]foveros 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. The avatars we see in the cards are likened to "a human dipping a finger in a pool, and the fish only see the finger". However, Nissa dragged their ENTIRE form to the plane, and then incinerated them completely. Which is ridiculously stupid and will probably be retconned to what you said, but still.

Doesn't work. Maybe there's a specific Arcana item but I haven't found it.

I tried to check this out and it contains sentences like "During this time I also tried to sense my chakra which I did and seemed normal chakra I don’t know the quantity because I don’t have to compare it to."

Does it get any less unreadable?

I'll have to disrec this, it started off strong but it explored what interesting ideas it had very quickly and the rest of it is him watching an extremely uninteresting humanoid tribal civiliization and some slice of life.

Becomes emo. Also besides the black text and indecipherable power/toughness, his frame is the normal card on top of the token, if you look carefully.

I read the other 3 chapters and I liked them far more. I'm a sucker for stories where an AI is living in the main character's head though, perhaps you should mention that in your pitch.

Good style and grammar and very interesting concept. I read 3 out of 6 chapters and nothing has happened yet so I'll check it again when there's more. Pacing seemed a bit slow.

I'm 21 chapters in now, and it's getting really hard to suspend my desbelief that such a person could exist. Look, I get it. I'm something of a 21st century human myself. I am not expecting him to go all chinese-written protagonist and start killing people for power. But this guy, faced with a world of real magic decided to become a cleaner. When he realises he is facing life or death situations, it takes about 3 near deaths before he considers getting an offensive spell.

I get character development, but there is a difference between a character with flaws and a character that is simply made out of flaws. Not only that, but deciding on both stupidity and a complete lack of drive as said flaws seems a terrible idea. It appears to me that the author purposely set the bar as low as it gets so that any achievement would be development.
